Curriculum. Instruction. Culture

Instructional Power Starts Here.

ABOUT US

As an education leader or curriculum developer, you make daily decisions that shape the student learning experience often under intense pressure, limited time, and competing priorities across curriculum, instruction, and culture. Whether you are leading a system, a school, a classroom, or the design of learning materials, those decisions are deeply interconnected. When one area is misaligned, the impact is felt across all three.

These decisions do more than guide materials or instructional choices.

They shape the conditions for access, agency, and belonging, determining what students are able to learn, how they experience learning, and who the system ultimately

Liaison Educational Partners recognizes the complexity of this work, and the responsibility leaders and curriculum developers carry. We partner with states, districts, schools, and curriculum organizations to strengthen coherence so environmental conditions for learning are intentional, agency-centered, and sustainable.

WHY JOIN THE LEP COMMUNITY

At Liaison Educational Partners, we believe instructional power shapes access, agency, and opportunity for students and adults.

Our email community is designed to support leaders, educators, and curriculum developers as they:

  • Disrupt disenfranchisement and power-protecting practices

  • Build learning environments where belonging is experienced, not assumed

  • Strengthen alignment across curriculum, instruction, and culture

  • Create sustainable, agency-centered systems, especially in secondary and middle school contexts

This is not a generic education list. It’s a learning community grounded in reflection, strategy, and action.

ABOUT

Hey, I'm Dr. Tanji

I’m an educator, author, researcher, and education strategist focused on one core question: How does the power we hold as leaders, educators and curriculum developers afford or constrain student access to learning?

As the founder of Liaison Educational Partners, I work with states, districts, schools, and curriculum developers to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and culture so learning environments are truly agency-centered, identity-affirming, and empowering.

I’m the author of Understanding Your Instructional Power and the host of Let’s Talk Power Live, where I explore how decision-making, belief systems, and structures shape student experiences, especially in secondary and middle school contexts.

If you’re ready to build learning environments where power is shared and students thrive, you’re in the right place.
