Hey, I'm Hannah

I'm the founder of DiscoverZzz, LLC. My goal is to move through each day with the most joy and vitality possible. I live with my husband & adorable, 14-year-old shepherd/border collie mix, Rocket, in Bloomington, Indiana. I believe that creating space for inquiry and healing sleep challenge can transform lives. I obtained my MS in Recreation Administration from Indiana University (IU) in 2019 and went on to work in a mentorship role with IU students for six years. I was certified as an Integrative Adult Sleep Coach in 2025 by the International Parenting and Health Institute so that I could bring together personal experience and professional training for my clients.

My story brought me here. Following several years of minor yet mysterious health concerns, I abruptly began experiencing severe sleep onset insomnia. Over the course of a year I saw eight different doctors in many different specialties - while I walked away with some useful tools, none were able to give me answers or restore my sleep. Until I (yes, me!) figured it out - deep diving, listening closely to my body, and making the changes it needed. While this wasn't a quick fix, it was a learning journey that will be with me all my life. If I had the magic power to change one thing, it would be to conjure someone who, much sooner, could have done what I eventually did for myself - ask the right questions. Today, now, I commit to being that person for you, and all those amazing humans out there simply looking for answers, and to help them get back to feeling freedom in sleep.

I recommend this option for most of my clients. I am a firm believer that healthy sleep change requires repetition and time. Therefore, the Classic Coaching Package is positioned for value through a pre-determined number of sessions, rather than charged per hour, to support this journey for you. The total of four sessions happen over the course of 1-2 months. The client is always able to add on additional single sessions at a specialty rate for ongoing support.

Sleep coaching is a collaborative process designed to help individuals improve their sleep and overall wellbeing through personalized guidance and support. Offered in 1:1 sessions, sleep coaching brings together your motivation and my expertise to uncover the lifestyle and behavioral factors contributing to your unique sleep challenge. Together, we identify and implement realistic changes aimed at restoring healthy sleep patterns—recognizing that modifying long-held habits can be some of the toughest work we do.

For DiscoverZzz, holistic means that we take a very close look at all aspects of life related to sleep and approach change through 1) education and 2) lifestyle/behavior modification. This methodology is inquiry-based and circles back again and again to the deeper habits and beliefs contributing to poor/troubled sleep. My approach is also scientific, in that we create a hypothesis and test that hypothesis, ensuring correct identification of root cause and, ultimately, lasting results.

As a holistic coach I do receive clients coming to me with the goal of ending a reliance on sleep aids. While a healthcare provider needs to be involved in the decision-making related to any changes in medication, my expertise allows me to educate and guide these clients to better understand how, for their unique case, to best approach and execute their goal.

DiscoverZzz specializes in removing obstacles getting in the way of restful sleep and works with adults who are ready for change. Clients will be experiencing an unknown or known sleep challenge impacting their quality of life. I live with the tick-borne disease Alpha-gal Syndrome and welcome those living with Alpha-gal or experiencing food sensitivity/allergy to explore my practice.

As your coach, I do an in-depth analysis of your sleep health, listen actively to your story, confirm your primary concerns, and offer new solutions and tools for gradual change. Together, we set long-term goals and short-term action steps to help close the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. A sleep coach cannot diagnose, prescribe for, or formally treat a health condition. A coach can provide full body and mind sleep education, exploration of core belief systems' influence on lifestyle choices, and set the stage for you to begin shifting habits. In working with me, you can also feel more informed when going back to your healthcare provider. I am willing to partner with providers to offer you the most comprehensive care possible.

I'm open to working with clients both remotely and in-person. If living in the local Bloomington, IN area, I strongly encourage clients to meet in-person for the first session. Any in-person sessions will take place in a quiet, public space free from distraction and where you feel comfortable. Examples may include public libraries and coffee shops.
