I started as a tile apprentice, and installed tile to pay my way through college, and earned a BFA in Graphic Design. Since 1999 I’ve worked in Colorado’s tile and stone world—supporting architects, designers, builders, and homeowners through thousands of decisions on materials, methods, and design. Along the way I earned CTC certification, blending hands-on installation knowledge with a design-focused eye.
What I learned: remodels and new construction often fail (and budgets explode) when details get missed—coverage, prep, wrong mortar for large-format tile, or specs that don’t match real-world conditions. Even well-intentioned people in showrooms or insulation may give guidance that seems right but is missing critical training or technical depth. In this industry, most mistakes don’t show up right away—they reveal themselves the expensive way 4–7 years later.
That’s why I started Home Tile & Stone Consulting. I provide industry-backed information through the (NTCA) combined with a strong design background, giving homeowners unbiased, practical guidance from both a technical and aesthetic perspective. I believe when a homeowner begins with a strong knowledge base, it’s priceless.
