3 Simple Steps

We're all talking about Menopause Support in the Workplace, but what does that actually MEAN?

In this session we look at the reality of menopause, the statistics and the economics AND what it feels like being a woman trying to thrive at work whilst brain fog, sleep deprivation and hormonal swings are creating havoc in her body.

You'll leave the session with 3 simple steps you can take to support menopause in your team, and if you're a woman going through perimenopause or menopause, strategies you can use yourself to start feeling like you again.

There will also be time for Q&A to help you clarify the way forward.

This Session is for YOU

* The woman who feels like she's falling apart and doesn't recognise herself anymore - and

wants some practical advice before she feels she has no choice but to quit her job

* The HR Manager who has menopause on the radar but doesn't quite know where to start and

just needs some simple steps they can take to make their female employees

feel more supported

* The founder who is sick of juggling a business, the husband, and the kids, on 4 hours sleep a

night and needs to see light at the end of the tunnel

* The boss who knows this is the right thing to do, but it all feels a bit awkward, and who is

terrified of putting his foot in it - and is making things worse by carefully avoiding having any

conversations

Whether you are a woman on the menopause rollercoaster, or a

leader determined to do the best by your female talent, this session is

for you.

You'll leave feeling clearer, have several "a-ha" moments, and be

ready to move forward.

What my clients say

We've had menopause support on our radar for a long time and didn't know quite what to do. Thank you for giving us an easy way to get started - our managers eyes have been well and truly opened!

R

Thank you for explaining it so simply. I thought I was losing my mind and you gently showed me how it was the stress my body was experiencing, and gave me practical steps to reduce my symptoms.

M

You've made it so easy. I don't understand why I didn't just do this sooner.

A

1 in 10 Menopausal Women Leave the Workplace

It's not just hot flushes

86% of women experience sleep issues - and this is sustained sleep deprivation, waking every morning at 3am, and only falling back asleep just before the alarm goes off.

By their mid-40s ...

Women have built a career, raised a family and been the best friend, daughter and sister. They've spent the best part of 15 years trying to Do It All - and menopause is when the body bites back.

GPs don't have all the answers

GPs have a very rigid process, meaning many women don't get the help they need early enough. The NHS also doesn't understand how diet and stress impact peri and menopause.

Menopause is nothing new

It's been around forever, but the reason it's a big issue now is that we have never had this many women aged 44-55 in employment - over 4.5 million women.

Menopause is now a legal issue

The Govt has now introduced Menopause Action Plans for organisations with 250+ employees. And if you have fewer, it's still the right thing to do.

But it's so much more than that

Menopause isn't a "women's issue" - it's about retaining key talent in your organisation.

That makes it a leadership, risk and cultural issue.

What my clients say

We had some menopause awareness training last year which we felt was enough, but Debbie's session took it to another level, highlighting practical things we can do to actually help women.

H

As a man, my mind was blown. I hold my hands up, I had no idea all the things that were happening to a woman's body and mind during menopause, and it's really changed how we support women in our organisation.

A

I had no idea women could get help from a menopause coach, or that they even existed! I thought it was only the GP who could.

Debbie, I wish I had found you sooner! you've helped me so much, not just with physical symptoms, but how I feel about myself. Thank you.

B

Hi, I'm Debbie and I am the 1 woman in 10 who left her job due to menopause

I'm also an ex-People Manager who thought she was seeing underperformance - and didn't realise it was menopause.

I know how it feels to be on the menopause rollercoaster AND how it feels to be the manager trying to provide support.

I have over 25 years of leadership and training experience in corporate (Barclays), SMEs and the NHS and it is now my absolute privilege to help women when they need it most.

Menopause has been around forever, but this is the first time in history we are really understanding what it means to be a menopausal woman in the workplace.

I'm a Menopause Coach and a Workplace Menopause Consultant.
