Come home to yourself.
Feel safe in your body again.
Move forward with steadiness and self-trust.
If you’re living with stress, burnout, illness, or a major life transition, your body may be doing its best to protect you.
You might feel constantly on edge, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unable to fully rest, even when you want to.
This is not because you are weak.
It’s because your nervous system has been working overtime.
The Mind Medicine Movement™ exists to support you out of survival mode and back into balance – gently, compassionately, and at your own pace.
This work is about helping you feel calmer, steadier and more connected to yourself again, so you can move forward from a place of inner safety rather than fear or exhaustion.
The Mind Medicine Movement™
The Mind Medicine Movement™ is a nervous-system-led, trauma-aware approach to wellbeing, recovery and prevention.
It supports people whose lives have been impacted by:
chronic stress or burnout
illness or health challenges
emotional overwhelm or anxiety
major life changes, loss or uncertainty
a feeling of disconnection from self or body
At its heart, this work helps.
Your body soften.
Your mind slow.
Your system remember what safety feels like.
This work is underpinned by my SIPS™ framework:
Slow Down – calming the nervous system and creating safety
Identity – reconnecting with who you are beyond roles, illness or survival
Purpose – finding meaning, direction and inner anchoring
Self-Love – cultivating compassion, boundaries and nourishment
From this foundation, clarity, resilience and self-trust naturally return.
How this support feels
People often come to this work feeling:
tense, anxious or emotionally flooded
stuck in their head, disconnected from their body
exhausted from holding it all together
unsure how to move forward without pushing themselves
As the nervous system settles, they begin to experience:
a sense of calm and inner steadiness
feeling safer in their body
emotional regulation instead of overwhelm
clearer thinking and decision-making
a deeper relationship with themselves
the ability to cope without bracing or collapsing
This is not about fixing you.
It’s about supporting your system back into balance.

About Me
I’m Sarah Hurst, founder of the Mind Medicine Movement™ and a Mind Medicine Practitioner.
My work was shaped not by theory alone, but by lived experience.
For much of my life, I lived in a state of pushing, coping and holding it all together – long before I had the language to understand nervous systems or burnout. I didn’t realise how disconnected from my body I had become, or how normalised stress and survival mode felt, until my health began to reflect it back to me.
I’ve experienced burnout more than once. And I’ve faced cancer multiple times.
Each diagnosis brought fear, uncertainty and a deep sense of my body no longer feeling like a safe place to be. Even when treatment was successful, my nervous system stayed on high alert – braced, vigilant, waiting for the next threat. I know firsthand that healing doesn’t automatically happen just because treatment ends.
What ultimately changed things for me wasn’t trying harder or staying positive – it was learning how to slow down, listen to my body, and create a sense of safety from the inside out.
That journey led me into nervous-system-led, trauma-aware work, blending coaching with embodied practices such as meditation, breathwork, sound and touch-based therapies. Over time, as my system softened, I began to reconnect with myself in a deeper, steadier way. My power wasn’t lost – it had simply gone underground, waiting for the right conditions to return.
This is the foundation of the Mind Medicine Movement™.
Today, I support people who are living with stress, burnout, illness or major life transitions to feel safe in their bodies again.
Not by pushing.
Not by fixing.
And not by bypassing what’s hard.
But by slowing down, working with the nervous system, and meeting the body with compassion, curiosity and care.
Alongside this broader work, Rising Above Cancer™ is my specialist pathway within the Mind Medicine Movement™, offering cancer-informed support for people at diagnosis, during treatment, and beyond. This work is deeply personal to me, and remains a central, aligned part of what I offer.
At the heart of everything I do is this belief:
When the body feels safe, clarity returns.
When the nervous system settles, resilience grows.
And when we stop fighting ourselves, healing can begin.
