Genie+

Genie+ is the new paid, skip the line system that replaced FastPass+.  There are several things to know about Genie+ before heading to WDW.  We have a complete Genie+ Guide we only share with our clients!  Plus YouTube videos that show how we use Genie+ on our park days.  We'll even give you sample game plans for each park.  It's so important to have a plan ahead of time!

We love to make a stop at Universal even if we're staying on Disney property.  Pro tip, if you book your Universal park tickets through a travel agent, you can still get early theme park entry! 

Theme Parks

There are three theme parks at Universal Orlando!

• Volcano Bay Water Park

Pro tip:  you MUST have a park-to-park ticket if you want to visit both parks, ride the Hogwarts Express, and/or visit both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.  And Volcano Bay is the BEST water park in Orlando!

Cocoa Beach

A common vacation we recommend for families that want theme parks plus a little relaxation on the beach, is a Universal - Cocoa Beach combo!  Cocoa Beach is about 45 minutes from Orlando on the Atlantic Ocean side of Florida.  The beach is very nice plus there are other sites to see such as Kennedy Space Center.  Port Canaveral is also located nearby so you'll likely see cruise ships passing through.

Accommodations

Just like on land, there are different accommodations at sea.  Most cruise lines offer:

Some cruise lines even have Ultra Spacious rooms to accommodate larger families of more than 4.  Connecting rooms can also be found on most ships.  These are very handy for families as well.  

We tend to recommend at least an ocean view cabin, so you can see out and the natural light can come in.  Balconies are ideal for a little added space, since most cabins tend to be on the smaller side.  The Mini-Suite level is where you really start to see upgraded amenities.  We're always happy to talk pros and cons of each cabin type when we're helping you book your cruise. 

Cruise Inclusions | Onboard

We love cruises because you get so much value for your money! Many items are included, such as most food, shows/entertainment, water parks, pools, sports complex, kid's club, etc. Of course, there are optional extras as well.  Many cruise lines offer bundled extras that are usually well worth the money!

• NCL's Free at Sea includes a drink package, WIFI, specialty dining credits, and excursion credits. 
• Princess Plus includes WIFI, gratuities, beverage package, premium desserts, fitness classes, dining credits, & room service delivery
• Princess Premier includes everything in Princess Plus AND an upgraded beverage package, photo package, upgraded dining credits, medallion accessory, reserved theater seating, & unlimited casual dining.

Another trend that is becoming more prevalent in the cruise industry is purchasing private islands.  Many cruise lines have private islands, and the good news is they come with inclusions too!

Itineraries

When planning a cruise there are many things to consider regarding the itinerary.  Of course, there's the destination.  But there's also the ports of call, departure port, and number of days you want to cruise.  You can cruise pretty much where ever there's an ocean!  Common destinations include:
