The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification program is an advanced and comprehensive training and certification program focused on equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge to lead and implement complex Lean Six Sigma projects within an organization. The Black Belt denotes a high level of expertise in process improvement and problem-solving. The Black Belt curriculum covers advanced
Lean Six Sigma concepts, statistical analysis tools, and leadership skills required to manage complex improvement projects. Topics commonly covered include hypothesis testing, design of experiments, statistical process control (SPC), regression analysis, project management, change management, and leadership principles.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified are also better equipped to manage change and overcome resistance to new processes and procedures in an organization. This program will assist individuals in their career advancement by the following:

This program is for individuals from diverse organizational functions-operations, quality, logistics, finance, production, engineering and other staff functions. Participants are normally process experts, team members, project leaders who will lead bigger projects, professional members who are involved in research, innovation or consultation in process improvement practices and future leader who are looking to contribute to high impact projects by incorporating Lean Six Sigma methodology.
The training hours are characterized by interactive lecture, group activities, individual assignments, peer-to-peer networking and specific coaching by expert instructors who are extensively experienced with many successful change initiatives across a wide spectrum of industries. To further emphasize application, portions of this course are formulated to assisting peer to peer learning as professionals share their unique perspectives, projects and experiences. The on-site coaching and consulting may be scheduled immediately post training or later, largely dependent on individual’s needs. A consultant will meet you individually to provide insights and recommendations for the overall initiative improvement projects in your organization.
Manica is one of the industry’s most experienced leaders with over 24 years of experience in business process improvements and advisory engagements in engineering, management field, process improvement (quality) in manufacturing, oil & gas, and banking industries. He has extensive experiences on handling process improvement, cost saving projects and facilitating rapid improvement events.
He has helped develop and improve continuous process improvement systems and create new infrastructures to fulfil the needs of fast-growing companies. He has a broad knowledge base of statistical analysis and process improvement skills, training and experienced in organizational transformation. Manica has a proven track record of identifying, prioritizing and delivering significant and sustainable improvements across a broad range of business processes and functions.
Manica has led many high-profile assignments internationally, which include global lead consultant for specific processes within a multi-national company. His forte lays both in consultancy as well as operations. Manica attained his Lean Six Sigma training credentials from Six Sigma Academy in the Netherlands to provide Green Belt and Black Belt training in Shell. As a trainer and facilitator, Manica has conducted training sessions and workshops in The Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Chennai and Kuala Lumpur.
He has coached over 800 GB/BB Certification Programs and has successfully trained and nurtured over 2000 YB, GB & BB (2,500+hours of training conducted) in the last 8 years, generating feedback score of 4.8+/5. To date, he has conducted trainings for more than 1500 leaders in Lean for Leaders Program.
Manica has held roles as VP-Head of Operational Excellence (Process reengineering, Automation & Continue improvement), Section Head – Engineering; Industrialization Unit / Process engineering and Global lead Lean six-sigma consultant for specific process where he applies the core Lean six-sigma philosophies, coach and trainer.

PREWORK:
Improvement initiatives identification. Lean Partner provides support on the project selection process & guidance on project charter
TRAINING:
10 days of Knowledge & skills transfer to participants via interactive lectures, group activities. Process & tools simulation games and exercises will be conducted.
EXAMINATION:
Participants will undergo 100 MCQ of examination questions with a duration of 3 hours. This is an open book examination.
ASSIGNMENT BASED PROJECT:
Participants must close an improvement project. They will be coached* and guided throughout the project periods.
CERTIFICATION:
A final evaluation will be carried out and the participants will be awarded with Lean Six Sigma certification.

~ Complete 1 DMAIC project (Project must demonstrate an achievement of either Hard or Soft savings)
~ Each project must be signed-off by the Champion and Financial Controller
*Participants will receive a certification for successfully completing the training, assessment and a live project.

Yes absolutely. The project weightage is 60% of the overall certification hence it is very crucial to complete a project.
Yes, you can. TheR are no pre-requisites for the program. However, you are required to have a minimum of 5 years working experience.
Once you have completed the training, examination & DMAIC project, you will require to submit the project documents for a final project evaluation. Certification will be provided for participants who have fulfilled the requirements.
