Your Way Now

We are Sarah and Sue and we specialise in Cancer Coaching. Our mission is to inspire people living through and beyond cancer to find strength and cultivate a positive mindset, overcoming uncertainty, fear, and overwhelm.

I'm Sarah from Rising Above Cancer – where your journey to well-being and inner strength begins.

I'm Sarah, a dedicated cancer coach and mentor. My mission is to support people to rise above cancer with courage and confidence.

In 2021, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and the BRCA1 gene. Facing this challenge head-on, I found renewed strength and changed my mindset, nutrition, and lifestyle when it returned in 2023. I realised the importance of support, positivity, resilience, and a healing mindset. Without the support I received, I wouldn’t be here today.

That's why I trained as a coach, meditation, and breathwork facilitator and started Rising Above Cancer – because of the love of how transformative changing our mindset can be. We all have the ability to nurture our physical and mental well-being by connecting our mind, body, and soul. When being diagnosed with cancer, we can feel fearful and overwhelmed when facing our own mortality. It can feel like the end. I want to help people find strength and peace, facilitating a journey of self-discovery, by changing their lifestyles, diet, and mindset, alongside conventional treatment (if chosen). Helping take back control, at a time when it feels like there is little control.

At Rising Above Cancer, I offer personalised coaching, emotional support, and practical guidance tailored to each person's unique experience. I believe in the power of community and shared experiences to inspire others.

Join me on this journey. Follow for tips, support, and stories of hope. Feel free to reach out or share your story. Let's rise above cancer together.

I’m Sue from Crossroads Coaching.

My passion for helping people see and be the change that they want in their lives led to my coach training. I realised then how coaching could have helped the people I have loved, lived and worked with who have had cancer but for whom it had not been available.

Having seen both my parents’ cancer experiences and supported them through all that brought into our lives, then managing a team of volunteers with lived experience of cancer, I am well aware of some of the emotional, physical and wellbeing challenges that a cancer diagnosis brings. I have not had a cancer diagnosis myself but haven’t let that stop me from successfully supporting people who have.

The common factor I have found amongst most of the people I have coached is a loss of confidence in themselves to make decisions at a time when everything has changed but everyone else thinks their world has gone back to “normal”.

I have had amazing support from Sussex Cancer Fund to bring no cost, 1-2-1 coaching to people in Sussex. Following a successful pilot last year, they extended it so that I have a total of 20 fully funded places available on this scheme. I also work with people outside of Sussex, online or they can travel to see me.

My coaching style is relaxed, friendly and approachable and I pride myself on building great rapport with my clients so that they feel comfortable enough to be able to say exactly what is on their mind, so I can help them find a way forward.

Thank you, Sue x.
