If you're new to my writing, this is a low-obligation introduction to what I offer my readers.
I pride myself on maintaining a strong balance between strong biblical truths and deep practical takeaways.
Both resources will provide you with exactly that.
Mental Illness in the Bible
Many people believe that the Bible has little to say about mental health. The reality is something far different. Characters in the Old and New Testaments experienced depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and suicidal ideation. These "mental health moments" and the ways in which God responds to them show us so much about the truth behind mental health challenges.

Mental Health Meditations (you didn't know you needed)
"You can't teach an old dog new tricks" is the old saying. It's a good things we aren't dogs then, because modern neuroscience teaches us that we can change the way our brains are wired at any age. This series of guided thought exercises outlines very practical tips to help us uncover ways to improve our brain health and enhance our spirituality along the way.

A Little More About Me

CHRIS MORRIS
As a ministry leader, author, and speaker, I've spent my career bridging the gap between Sunday morning and Monday's struggle.
My calling is simple: to remind weary souls that God has not forgotten them—and to help churches become places where pain isn’t hidden but held with compassion.
I grew up in a home marked by fear and abuse, where pain had a loud voice and God often seemed silent.
As an adult, chronic illness and depression became familiar companions. My daughter’s autism and epilepsy continue to deepen my understanding of what it means to suffer without simple answers.
A failed suicide attempt became a turning point that forced me to decide whether I truly believed God was good.
I still believe He is.
Since then, I’ve been learning what it means to live with both pain and peace—to find refuge in God’s goodness even when life stays hard. It’s not about pretending everything’s fine, but about discovering that hope and healing can coexist with struggle.
That conviction shapes everything I write and teach.

For too long, Christians have pooh-poohed those with mental health illnesses, blaming their struggles on immaturity or spiritual malaise. These myths have been incredibly harmful for far too long.
These free resources will begin you down a path that opens the door for new ways to think about struggles in faith and mental health. Plus, you will receive my weekly Substack essays moving forward.
