Are things too messy in your space? Maybe just a bit, maybe a lot?

Have you found that it's really difficult to make progress on a neatening project by yourself?

I get it. I’ve been there. And, to be honest, at times I still am - in parts of my home. Because life is, well, life.

But can you imagine what it would feel like to have your things in places that make sense? No searching. Just walk over and pick it up. And you’d know right where to put things away. It makes things so easy!

Whether you’re new in your home and want to set things up, or you’re ready to take on parts or all of where you've been living for years, I can help you tidy up your world.

Organize your home & ease your mind.

I can help you . . . make your space more comfortable ~ downsize ~ gift your precious belongings to those you love ~ let go of everything you no longer need.

30 years of experience and I still enjoy this work!

“A place for everything and everything in its place.”

(According to my mom, her dad used this old saying.)

“As we declutter, we also make space.”

(Me.)

Categories of items/areas we could address:

Clothing - closet, drawers, boxes, or ?

Bookshelves, boxes, or stacks

Paper filing cabinets or other systems

Computer filing system

Studio - art or ?

Kitchen - all or part

Garage, shop - all or part

Practically any area or any group of things.

The Process

I’m available in-person on the south Oregon coast for people referred to me by my clients.

I’m available via Zoom anywhere you live or work.

  • We start with a tour of the space, system, or collection where you want to begin, accompanied by your description of how you use it – or how you want to use it.

  • We’ll talk over what you appreciate about the way it's working, and what bugs you about it. And I’ll ask other questions to clarify what changes you want to see.

  • After that meeting and before our next one, I may list or sketch out any major changes I see that might be helpful for you to consider. (This is billed hourly, see below.) I send them to you so you can start thinking about how that might work for you.

  • Next time we meet, we’ll start going through a section: a pile of items or a closet or a stack of boxes. For each item, you’ll decide:

Keep • Gift • Donate • Recycle • Sell • Free Pile • Trash

This is often a somewhat spontaneous decision, which seems to surprise some of my clients. But you probably already know deep inside.

You’ll also find that this process can go far more easily when you’re working next to a supportive, non-judgemental person! We are often our harshest critic. I can help you quiet that voice - or at least set it aside and identify your deeper sense of what’s best for you.

And that’s the trick: When you make the changes that feel right to you, it feels good! And it seems to help the changes stick.

  • Then we “rinse and repeat” - we work on a different area, or a different category of items. And there’s need to do it all at once - you set the pace.

Let’s be real: Yes, it can take practice, putting things away in the same place. That part is up to you.

And as you live with the changes, you might find ways and places that work even better for you.

Once we’ve started the process, you have several options.

You may decide to continue on your own.

(I’m always available for Consultation Calls if you get stuck.)

You may choose to continue having me guide you in your decision-making with regular or as-needed meetings.

You may use me only as a consultant for specific questions or for suggestions on how to approach certain portions of your process.

Or we can dance with all three at different times of your project!

I'm happy to help you as much or as little as you want.
