Parenting with a Difference: An Introduction to ADHD

Information and support for parents with ADHD and parents of children with ADHD.

From Teaching with a Difference

You’re doing your best

…but parenting is tough. Add ADHD into the mix and it gets even tougher.

If you’re a parent who has ADHD, or you’re raising children who have it, sometimes parenting can feel more like survival than connection. Managing routines, maintaining boundaries, the seemingly endless need to make decisions… all while trying to balance home, work and family life, and respond to the demands and expectations of those around you.

If you’re emotionally exhausted, struggling to stay organised, or overwhelmed by advice that just doesn’t fit – or if you find yourself asking the quiet question, “Why do I find this so much harder than everyone else?” – then this programme is for you.

Designed specifically for ADHD parents and parents of ADHD kids, this educational group-coaching experience offers four weeks of insightful information, practical advice and emotional support, as well as a safe space to share your experiences and explore strategies that actually make sense for you and your family.

You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t need to have it all together. You just need a safe space and someone who gets it.

Who this is for:

  • Parents who suspect or know they have ADHD

  • Parents and caregivers raising children with ADHD

  • Anyone overwhelmed by parenting advice that doesn’t work for their reality

  • Those looking for emotional validation and support without shame or pressure

You do not need to have a formal diagnosis of ADHD to join this programme, and those who have or whose children have ADHD alongside other co-occurring conditions are also welcome.

What we’ll cover:

Over four sessions, we’ll explore:

✔ What ADHD actually is (and what it definitely isn’t)

✔ Executive function skills and why they’re important

✔ Emotional regulation and co-regulation - for you and your children

✔ How to set boundaries and build self-confidence

✔ Strengths-based approaches that work with ADHD brains, not against them

This programme isn’t about perfect parenting. It’s about finding ways of parenting that work for you.

About Your Coach

Hi, I’m Annie - and I see you.

As an experienced teacher, trained coach, and late-diagnosed ADHDer, I spent years trying to hold everything together, wondering why it seemed so much easier for everyone else.

I founded Teaching with a Difference because I know what it’s like to live in a world that wasn’t built for your brain. I’ve worked with hundreds of children, parents and families trying to navigate neurodivergence, mental health struggles, social anxiety and special educational needs – and I’ve lived many of those same challenges myself.

Parenting with a Difference: An Introduction to ADHD is a programme built on lived experience, professional understanding, and a fundamental belief that you deserve support too. It offers ADHD parents and parents of ADHD children a safe space to share their experiences, ask questions, and make real connections. No judgement. No pressure. Just support.

If you’ve ever felt like you were the one melting down inside…

If you’re tired of advice that doesn’t fit your life…

If you’re craving real compassion and strategies that work…

You’re in the right place.

Let’s do this together.
