Since 2023, our community square dances and potlucks have blossomed from once every few months to a monthly dance in spring 2026. My inspiration to start this collective came from a single dance in 2019 on Lopez Island, and I continue to be inspired by the joyful interactions our dances create and by the legacies of those who came before me.

Frequently asked questions
Nope! All dances are beginner-friendly and are taught by our amazing callers.
Nope! Dancers often switch partners for each dance, so even those who come with partners will likely dance with others throughout the evening.
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best. You can wear old-timey skirts and pantaloons if you so desire.
If you come to the potluck, please bring a dish if you can. But if you don't have time, we would still like to welcome you to enjoy a delicious meal with us. Try to bring a card with ingredients as well for those with dietary restrictions.
Some of our venues allow alcohol, and some do not. Please check event-specific guidance before bringing alcohol.
