Meet the authors
Rick McKinney and his wife Jane have lived an extraordinary life of ministry. Once described as “mavericks,” they have literally stepped out into the unknown to embrace God’s call and have experienced His presence in a way that only comes through a life of obedience. Whether planting and pastoring churches, traveling the world to perform concerts, building a house in Mexico, traveling from village to village in India, or walking across America, they have followed His voice as He led them forward, one step at a time.
Their commitment to God's leadership and each other has taken them on some unique and exciting journeys, the most unusual of which was their 2770-mile walk across America to share their faith and pray for their nation.
Rick and Jane both have degrees in Church Music. Rick also earned two Master's degrees, one in theology, one in Education, and a Doctor of Ministry degree. He now teaches at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Jane teaches at a local high school. Rick and his wife have published several Christian books together.
