So you want to create an AI Clone of yourself too?

There's been so much buzz about creating your own digital AI clone these days. It's super exciting but typically comes at a price[1]... gwa, gwa, gwaaa. An online article I read about a Japanese company developing digital clones for individuals even stated the cost of US$$140,000! [2] GULPS.

This got me curious on how to generate one affordably. This is not about the face swap type of static image or illustration that bears a questionable resemblance. I am looking at creating an actual animated REPLICA of myself who looks just like me, gesturing realistically in videos and speaking with my voice.

So in typical geek fashion, I did the research. After some explorations, I managed to successfully clone myself digitally using AI and I am really pleased with the result. Whoohoo! If you have not seen it yet, you can check it out on my Instagram. 💟

The best part is I was able to do it quickly, relatively fuss-free, and with surprisingly low investment. Like, layman-wallet-friendly-and-super-reasonable cost. Trust me, I have done the necessary homework in comparing and trying various tools and options.
