Announcements

Throughout the month of February, we will have special worship experiences here at “The Dallas Project” as we celebrate Black History Month! Today, we have our Celebration of Black Men and welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Jason O’Rourke; guest honorees from the “100 Black Men” of Greater Dallas/Fort Worth; and special musical guests: the “Dedicated Souls.” Next Sabbath, February 14th, we will have our Celebration of Black Youth and our speaker will be Pastor Wesley McNorton and our special musical guests will be the Texas College Choir. On February 21st, we will have our Celebration of Black Women and our speaker will be Dr. Carlton P. Byrd, our special music will be given by our TDP Mass Choir, and our special guest will be Ms. Stephanie Mills, renowned musical artist and advocate for special needs children. We will culminate Black History Month on February 28th with our Celebration of Black Art. Our speaker will be Dr. Carlton P. Byrd, our special music will be given by our TDP Youth Choir, and our special guest will be Dr. Harry Robinson, Founder and CEO of the Dallas African American Museum. All are invited to wear their native African attire on February 28th. Please plan to be present and kindly invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join us throughout the month.

The Soul Winning Collaborative will host the first 2026 Tract Attack today, February 7th, immediately following the Worship Experience. We will be distributing flyers and inviting the community to our TDP Black History Month events. If you would like to join us, please plan to meet down front immediately following the service to receive flyers. Please note that we will only canvass for one hour. If you’re unable to join us for Tract Attack, we’re inviting every member to take one flyer and share it with a neighbor this afternoon, along with making one telephone call and inviting a friend. Thank you very much for efforts to “grow our TDP family” in 2026. Remember, one invite can change a life!

Our Community Service Ministries Department will have a Luncheon Meeting today, February 7th, immediately following the Worship Experience at the Southwest Region Conference Office located at 2550 Beckleymeade Avenue, Building 1, Suite 110, Dallas, TX 75237. All Community Service Team members are encouraged to be present. For more information, please see Liz Duncan.

Our Men’s Ministries Department cordially invites all men (members and visitors) to our Super Bowl Party tomorrow (Sunday), February 8th, beginning at 4:30 pm at the Southwest Region Conference Office. Please plan to be present and join the food, fun, and fellowship!

TDP Mass Choir Rehearsal takes place each Friday evening at 7:00 pm.  The next choir rehearsal will be held this Friday, February 13, at 7:00 pm.  Church members and community residents are invited to be a part of the choir.

Contribution receipts for 2025 will be available from our Treasury Department for pick-up today, February 7th. For your convenience, our Treasury Staff will be available in the foyer at the conclusion of our Worship Experience. If you would like your contribution receipts emailed to you, please email [email protected] and provide your name and preferred email address.

Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) funding is available for Southwest Christian Academy (SWCA) students. For eligible families, TEFA funding provides approximately $10,000 per child for approved private school tuition for the 2026-27 school year. TEFA Funds aim to support families with private school tuition and educational expenses. Parent applications for TEFA funds are currently being accepted through March 17th. For more information, please contact the SWCA Principal, Dr. Violet Dean.

The fifth installment of the “BLUEPRINT” will resume this Wednesday, February 11th, at our Mid-Week Prayer Meeting beginning at 7:00 pm. Please plan to be in attendance and invite your family and friends to discover the tools to move from “concept” to the “abundant life” reality that Jesus has promised! Begin your 2026 journey to make Mid-Week Worship a priority for spiritual growth, fellowship, and power as you experience stirring testimonies, music, prayer, and the Spoken Word. We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday!

We have entered a new year, and all youth ages 10 to 17 are invited to join our TDP Pathfinder Club! Club meetings are on the second Sabbath afternoons of each month at 3:00 pm and the fourth Sundays of each month at 10:00 am. For more information, please see Bro. Bruno Taylor or Pastor Wesley McNorton.

A support group is being formed to provide special assistance to parents and children with Special Needs during our Worship Experiences and other church events. Interested members and friends are invited to participate in this pilot program.  For more information, please contact Connie Green at 972.489.3045.

Student sponsors are needed to contribute $100.00 monthly to provide Christian Education for students facing financial challenges at Southwest Christian Academy.  If you would like to sponsor a child monthly or make a monetary contribution to support a student in need, please contact Dr. Violet Dean.  Kindly feel free to remit your charitable gift to our school through your normal church giving and label it “Southwest Christian Academy” or “Southwest Adventist Junior Academy” (SWAJA).

Children’s Choir rehearsal, for children ages three to ten, is held on the 1st and 3rd Sabbaths of each month at 11:00 am. For more information, please contact Lisa Ayala at 214.685.5700.

Every 1st and 3rd Sabbaths of the month, we have Children’s Church here at “The Dallas Project” for children ages three to ten in the Music Room. Children will be blessed by creative, innovative, and age-appropriate worship formats through our Children’s Church Program. For more information, please see Kathryn McNorton Edwards.
