Announcements

Today, October 19th, is Southwestern Adventist University Day and we extend a special welcome to all of visiting friends from SWAU. A special thank you is extended to our SWAU students for their leading out in Sabbath School and Children’s Church today, along with participating in the Worship Experience. Our “Grab N’ Go” Ministry for today will also be provided by SWAU. We thank the SWAU administration, faculty, staff, alumni, family, and friends for worshipping with us on this special Sabbath.

Interest Meetings will take place immediately following the Worship Experience today, October 5th, for our Male Chorus and Youth Choir respectively. All men interested in joining our Male Chorus are invited to meet in the choir room with Bro. Paul Jackson serving as the director. Our Youth Choir, ages 10 to 17, will meet in the sanctuary choir loft with Sis. Patrice Jennings, assisted by Bro. Justin White, as the director.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we acknowledge all Breast Sabbath Survivors today with pink ribbons and/or attire to celebrate this special victory. At 6 PM, we invite everyone to join us for a special program entitled, “Our Story for His Glory,” where breast cancer survivors will share their personal testimonies. Advent Health professionals will also be present to address questions and related issues. After Divine Worship today, registration will take place for mammogram screenings sponsored by Advent Health.

We’re excited to announce that the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission has once again asked Dr. Carlton P. Byrd and the Southwest Region Conference to produce a national Christmas Television Special to be aired on ABC Television affiliates across the United States on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024! In addition to the preaching ministry of Dr. Byrd, special musical guests will share their music ministry including award winning artists, Kenny Lattimore, Jordin Sparks, Myron Butler, and the Southwestern Adventist University Orchestra. Additionally, we will be blessed by the testimony from Raymond “Daddy Yankee” Ayala who will share his conversion story and acceptance of Christianity after serving for years in the secular music industry. This special live recording will be held in conjunction with our “Dallas Project” Worship Experience on Sabbath, November 2, 2024, at 11 AM in the main sanctuary of the Inspiring Body of Christ Church, 7701 S. Westmoreland Road, Dallas, TX 75237. Doors will open at 10 AM, and all seats are free. Please note that due to ABC Television copyright regulations, this special live taping will not be livestreamed.

Please invite your family and friends to join us for our “in person” Mid-Week Worship Experiences each Wednesday in the month of October from 7 to 8 PM Our Prayer Meeting Theme for October will be on the doctrine of the “Sanctuary!” Please plan to be present and kindly invite your family and friends to join us for this powerful series. Our Pastors will share the spoken word, and our Dallas Project Praise and Worship Team will share their music ministry.

Every 1st and 3rd Sabbaths of the month, we have Children’s Church here at “The Dallas Project” for children ages three to ten in the Music Room. Children will be blessed by creative, innovative, and age-appropriate worship formats through our Children’s Church Program. For more information, please see Kathryn McNorton Edwards.

Rehearsals for the 2024 Handel’s Messiah Presentation have begun, and it’s not too late to join this special holiday chorale ensemble! Rehearsals will continue each Friday evening at “The Dallas Project” at 8 PM. All sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses are cordially invited to participate. You do not need formal music experience or choir training to join. This Holiday Classic will be performed on Sabbath, December 7th, here at “The Dallas Project.” For more information, please contact Justin White or Myrna Beckett Burnside.

The Culinary Ministry, fondly known as “Grab & Go,” will serve complimentary ‘to go’ lunch appetizers on the first and third Sabbaths only. Our revised schedule will allow us to streamline operations and realize increased economies of scale for future ministry expansion. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
