The holiday season is here, and we have an exciting December Worship Experience Schedule here at “The Dallas Project!” Please invite your family and friends to join us each Sabbath in the month of December. Next Sabbath, December 13th, Southwest Adventist Christian Academy will present a dramatic holiday musical presentation; the annual holiday presentation of Handel’s Messiah will be shared on December 20th, and we will end the year with Holy Communion on December 27th. This year has been an incredible year, and we want to end the year celebrating God’s goodness each Sabbath in December!
Rehearsals for our annual “Celebrate the Messiah” Community Mass Choir will continue this Sabbath afternoon, December 6th at 2:00 pm (immediately following the Worship Experience) here at TDP. This year’s Community Mass Choir will include “The Dallas Project” Holiday Community Choir, TDP Church Members, the South Dallas Concert Choir, and others from our Metroplex Community. Our guest directress will be Dr. Alfrelynn Roberts, and our program coordinator is Myrna Beckett Burnside. This year’s Messiah presentation promises to be spiritually epic! The “Celebrate the Messiah!” holiday presentation will be Sabbath, December 20th, here at TDP.
The Soul Winning Collaborative (a.k.a the “Collaborative”) is looking for volunteers to invest one hour per week to call and encourage the newly baptized members of our church family. If you'd like to participate in this wonderful outreach and opportunity to build relationships with our new family members, please call or text Elder Thea Walker at 469.360.8792.
December has been identified as “Square Up with God” month. We’re asking everyone to “square up” with God in their time, talents, and treasury in December. Let’s end 2025 on a spiritual high and square up with God!
Our school, Southwest Christian Academy (SWCA), will have its first fundraiser of the year, which will be the sale of popcorn in collaboration with the “Double Good” company. Popcorn will be available to purchase digitally from December 11 through 15, as well as personally by placing an order with any SWCA student. Please support our school by patronizing this fundraiser. For more information, please see Carolyn McKinney.
The young adult female advocacy group, “Girl Uprising,” will be receiving feminine product donations through December 19th for young ladies. For more information, please visit the special booth in the foyer or see Akila Moore.
A support group is being formed to provide special assistance to parents and children with Special Needs during our Worship Experiences and other church events. Interested members and friends are invited to participate in this pilot program. For more information, please contact Connie Green at 972.489.3045.
Student sponsors are needed to contribute $100.00 monthly to provide Christian Education for students facing financial challenges at Southwest Christian Academy. If you would like to sponsor a child monthly or make a monetary contribution to support a student in need, please contact Dr. Violet Dean. Kindly feel free to remit your charitable gift to our school through your normal church giving and label it “Southwest Christian Academy” or “Southwest Adventist Junior Academy” (SWAJA).
All ladies of “The Dallas Project” are invited to join the virtual Sabbath Morning Manna Book Club each Sabbath morning at 6:00 am.
