Starting the first week of July 2025

Together we will embark on a journey of deconstruction, discovery and healing. The 12 weeks will be packed with practices, resources, tools and a safe environment to unpack the harm that organised and controlled religion has had on your life. This programme will consist of one session per week, for 12 weeks, at a time that is convenient for you. Each week, you will gradually learn to listen to and trust your body’s wisdom, while also healing emotionally and spiritually. By the end of the program, you will have the tools to reclaim your personal power, heal from past wounds, and build a new relationship with yourself and your beliefs. Let's take a look at what we will be unpacking each week.

Week 1 - Safety & Grounding
Explore how religious trauma has impacted your nervous system. Learn somatic grounding techniques.

Week 2 - Trauma Responses & Religious Conditioning
Explore your different trauma responses. Track your body sensations.

Week 3 - Family Power Dynamics & Religious Abuse
Unpacking control and coercion. How is religious trauma reinforced in your family system.

Week 4 - Rewrite Internal Scripts
Releasing fear based beliefs stored in the body. Identifying limiting beliefs, and using somatic affirmations and movement to reclaim self.

Week 5 - Misogyny & Body Control
Reclaiming personal power and autonomy. We will discuss purity culture, gender roles and body suppression.

Week 6 - Rapture Trauma & Existential Fear
Healing hypervigilance and fear of abandonment

Week 7 - Shame, The Body & Internalised hate
Releasing internalised religious shame. Explore the difference between shame and guilt.

Week 8 - LGBTQ & Reclaiming The Body
Unpacking how LGBTQ hatred is steeped in shame and fear. Understanding the impact of judgement and bigotry.

Week 9 - Release Fear & Punishment
Undoing religious fear of divine or social retribution. Identify where punishment is stored in the body.

Week 10 - Strengthen Self Trust & Intuition
Learning to trust your inner voice. Explore the difference between fear-based and intuitive sensations.

Week 11 - Reconnect To Pleasure & Joy
Undoing religious suppression of sensory and emotional pleasure. Explore what joy feels like in the body.

Week 12 - Integration & Moving Forward
Embodying your new found freedom. Reflect on shifts in your body. Create your 'toolbox' for ongoing help.
Additional to the one-on-one sessions, I will be hosting a group online event once a month for everyone in the group to chat about what they are learning, what came up for them and provide the opportunity for us to not feel alone in this healing journey. These will take place on a Saturday morning (South Africa time).
Starting in the first week of July 2025, this 12-week healing journey is specifically designed to help you reclaim your peace and release the deep-seated effects of religious trauma. Our approach focuses on reconnecting the body, mind, and spirit, allowing you to process and release stored trauma from within.
