Scripture@Work started out as Faith in Financial Services to bring together faithful workers in the financial services industry in New York City, eventually piloting what we now call S@W Groups under the name FiFS.

Over time, the original FiFS groups grew to include faithful workers from other industries as well as faithful workers outside New York City.  In addition, the FiFS group model began to be used by other groups, such as Employee Resource Groups in major corporations.

To reflect and embrace this broader interest and need, we changed our name to Scripture@Work, with FiFS groups becoming the first S@W Groups.  With the new name, the vision and mission of the organization was expanded to serve workplace communities everywhere in all industries.
