I find pure joy in creating things that exude optimism, delight, and wonder. I glaze my work with nostalgia and sprinkle it with chuckles. I serve my creations with bright colors and whimsical linework that's full of energy, and work as if every day were a celebration.

New books are on the horizon!
When it comes to picture books, I like a little mischief intertwined with affections. But I also adore capturing the sweet moments of childhood. My favorite picture books are classics like those from Bill Peet, Robert McCloskey and Virginia Lee Burton. When I illustrate books, the heart of those classics are definitely underneath it all.
During my graphic design studies, I was often the last to leave the campus. There was something really empowering about combining technology and organic art. I was hooked. I went back and forth between the computer labs, the photography studio, and the illustration and prepress rooms with a neverending flow of ideas about what I wanted to do next. I loved attending Adobe conferences and staying on top of new software and hardware. Today, it's no surprise that I am a trend-forward thinker when it comes to design. When I illustrate books, and create art, I am cognizant of the design elements as well as the story being told and the one that isn't being told.
