Choose the Level of Support That Works for Your Child

The Maths Study Club is designed to give students the structure, support, and exam practice they actually need, not just more worksheets, more pressure, or more panic.

There are two tiers to choose from, depending on how much support your child needs: Tier 1: Study Support and Tier 2: Study Accelerator.

Both tiers help students build consistency, reduce overwhelm, and grow genuine exam confidence, but one offers extra teaching and guided practice for those who need it.

FAQs

You absolutely can, but what makes the Study Club effective is the structure, analysis, and consistency behind it.
When parents set work for themselves, the challenges are typically:

  • Not knowing which topics to prioritise

  • No system for spaced repetition or long-term memory

  • No personalised analysis of strengths and weaknesses

  • Difficult to maintain consistency each week

The Study Club handles all of this for you — including marking, RAG analysis, and targeted refresh papers every four weeks.

A RAG sheet is a personalised analysis of your child’s performance, using:

  • Red (needs work)

  • Amber (developing)

  • Green (secure)

It breaks their results down by topic so revision becomes targeted, efficient, and less overwhelming.

AI is brilliant at giving quick answers or explaining a method but it can’t understand the why behind your child’s mistakes. It can’t detect common misconceptions, spot patterns in their working, or recognise the subtle misunderstandings that hold students back.

With five years of experience working closely with GCSE students, I know the exact areas where learners typically slip up, the misconceptions they repeat, and the steps needed to correct them.

The Study Club provides:

  • A consistent revision structure

  • Personalised tracking of strengths and weaknesses

  • Targeted papers designed to address common misconceptions

  • Human review of working out and exam technique

  • Accountability and community

AI can give answers, but it can’t build the habits, structure, and deep understanding that lead to real progress. The Study Club does.

You’ll receive progress reports showing:

  • whether the paper was completed,

  • their score,

  • and their personalised RAG sheet, so you know exactly where their strengths and areas for development are.

The papers are designed to be manageable and take just 45 minutes. If students' engagement dips, I recommend:

  • Encouraging them to complete it in one sitting at a set time each week

  • Pairing it with a reward (e.g., screen time afterwards)

  • Treating it like a weekly training session — short, consistent practice builds long-term progress

  • Reminding them that missing a week makes the next one feel harder, so staying consistent is key

And of course, the supportive online community helps students stay accountable and motivated.

Yes absolutely!
Group tuition inside the Study Accelerator tier is capped at a maximum of 7 students, which is intentionally small so every child gets individual attention.

Sessions are designed so that students receive:

  • personalised feedback in lessons

  • opportunities to ask questions

  • tailored examples based on their mistakes

  • support that builds their confidence over time

Parents are often surprised by how much more personalised these focused groups feel compared to whole-class lessons in school.

It’s completely normal for students to feel nervous when joining a new group, especially in a subject they already find challenging.

The good news is: students don’t have to speak aloud to engage and learn effectively.
There are plenty of low-pressure options, such as:

  • interactive quizzes

  • chat responses

  • polls

  • typing questions privately

  • annotating shared screens

Many of my students who are quiet in school become my most active contributors online, because they feel safer typing than raising their hand in a classroom. They learn just as much — often more — because they feel free to ask questions privately.

A typical session includes:

1. Retrieval Quiz (warm-up)
An engaging starter that checks key knowledge and helps me understand the group’s needs.
It also builds confidence by showing students what they already know.

2. Teaching & Review of Core Concepts
Clear explanations, worked examples, and step-by-step demonstrations.
Students learn the why behind the method — not just the steps.

3. Application to Exam Questions
We apply the learning to real exam-style questions to build confidence and show students how to structure their working.

Every lesson follows a predictable, supportive structure that helps students feel calm, capable, and confident.

Yes, especially if they’re an independent learner who needs structure, direction, and personalised feedback.

Study Support is based on proven methods like:

  • spaced repetition

  • exam-style practice

  • targeted feedback

  • guided next steps

Many GCSE students revise in the right quantity, but not the right way. This tier fixes that.

Students are told exactly:

  • what to work on

  • where they are improving

  • which topics need attention

  • how to revise more effectively

It’s ideal for students who are already trying but not progressing as quickly as they want.

No problem at all.
You can cancel at any time via your account. Your child will continue to have access to everything until the end of your billing cycle, and then the plan simply ends — no fuss, no long-term commitment.

If you feel your child may benefit from more personalised support instead of (or alongside) the Study Club, you’re very welcome to reach out. I also offer one-to-one tuition, and we can discuss whether that might be a better fit for their needs.
