  1. Get a MailerLite account

    You can sign up for free here. When signing up, mention in the Business description field “Job application for MailerLite”. Then, verify your email and complete your profile.

  1. Create a newsletter about YOU

    In your MailerLite account, go to "Campaigns" and create a newsletter that answers the questions below.

📝 What to include in your newsletter

  • Your work experience and focus areas. You should include links to your portfolio, LinkedIn or resume.

  • Tell us about how you've developed your skillset over time:

    - Do you have any official qualifications?

    - Who were your mentors or teachers?

    - How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web design?

    - Where do you look for inspiration?

  • Examples of websites, website pages, or other web projects you’ve designed or helped design.

    - Make sure these are recent examples of your work. Add links. Feel free to include older projects you’re proud of.

    - Mention the tool stack used for each project.

    - If there were other contributors, add notes on which specific parts of work you owned.

  • Describe your experience and rate your proficiency on a scale of 1-5 in the following areas:

    • Practical knowledge of brand identity, color theory, grid layout, typography, photography and graphic design

    • UX design

    • Figma

    • HTML/CSS

    • TailwindCSS or Bootstrap

    • Basic JavaScript

    • Git

    • Remote team collaboration

  • List of 2-3 SaaS websites that you think are good examples of how brand identity and tone-of-voice translates into modern, user-centered web design.

  • Attention to detail is key. Include “Lite” somewhere in your newsletter.

  • Have you worked remotely before? If yes, what is the biggest challenge you've faced?

  • Answer the following questions by recording a video of yourself and sharing it in your newsletter.

    Video length: 2-3 min max.

    - Why do you want to join us?

    - What does a good design mean to you?

    - Describe a recent web design project you took ownership of and how it went.

  • What are your gross salary expectations?

  • When would you be available to start?

  • Feel free to share something that sparks joy in your life. ✨ It can be a photo or a favorite song. If you want to make a whole film and share it, this is the right place. Go crazy!

📋 Instructions to send in your newsletter:

  • Once the newsletter is ready, copy the preview URL and send it to the following email: apply@mailerlite.recruitee.com

  • You'll find this URL in the editor under "Preview and test" and then "Preview mode."

  • Show us who you are and bring your best design game - the sky's the limit. 🚀
