A Unique Space for Professional Black Leaders
For most Black professionals in Senior and Mid-level positions it can be a lonely place. We've worked hard to achieve this success but the higher you go the harder it can be to get the support you need as a Black senior professional. The higher your success the fewer safe spaces there are for you, if you find any at all. With limited options of people who you can discuss or share your challenges with, wouldn't it be encouraging to share your experiences with others who can understand and resonate?
I've been there and completely understand. That's why I've created the Black Professional Leaders Network. I know for sure that my journey would have been far less lonely and challenging at times if I'd had a safe space to meet and speak with other Black professionals who understood what I was experiencing on a daily basis as a Black leader. Because of our cultural, historic and racial lived experiences, some things can be more deeply understood in a way that others cannot comprehend.
I want to support you and share with you some of the things I've learnt from three decades of experience working at senior, executive and board levels providing executive coaching and support for senior professionals across all sectors of business.
My wish is to support your continued career development, leadership, confidence, and people skills as you deal with the particular experiences we may be exposed to as a result of discrimination, criticism, microaggression and harassment. We will also discover many methods to strengthen our emotional states and reduce the impact these experiences can have on our physical wellbeing.

What Can You Expect From Joining The Network?
A Safe Space
A sanctuary from the pervasive racism, discrimination, and micro-aggressions that Black Leader face daily.
For women, we have a dedicated space where Black women can share experiences, uplift one another, and thrive together. Join our online community for free here.

Where you are respected, heard, and given opportunity to discuss challenges or sensitive topics which affect your leadership experience.
Authenticity
Fostering authentic dialogue, nurturing Black and Racialised leadership, and understanding its constitutive elements.
Monthly Group Meetings
Monthly online group meetings enabling members to join from anywhere in the world. Occasional face to face meetings arrange in advance to enable as many members to attend. In addition to the monthly online group meetings, several in person events will be held during the year.
Individually Valued
A space where your knowledge, contribution and lived experience is recognised, viewed with respect and is valued and celebrated.
Confidentiality
Commitment to confidentiality, and non-disclosure of information shared in sessions, outside of the sessions. We will work to Chatham House Rules to ensure that we build a safe space for each other.
Leading with Light Online Community
An online community portal for people to communicate outside of group sessions, even if you are not a Network member, you are still welcome to join this community. It's a safe space to encourage self-development and spiritual development in your role as a leader. This could be in the home, in the community, or in the workplace.
Agency
Providing you with the opportunity to further develop the agency in your current and future roles, and how you show up in the world and workplace.
Challenge and Contribution
These sessions may well be challenging at times because of the views of other members or things that are introduced by me, but in all this, there will be respect and openness to different views. We can agree to disagree where differences are present.

Opportunities for individual and group coaching and training sessions, some during our monthly meetings and some separate at discounted rates.
