This program is designed for individuals seeking trauma healing, and for health care, mental health and social service providers interested in learning about Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Healing. Sessions include: information on our autonomic nervous system’s fight, flight, and freeze responses to acute and chronic stress and trauma, and the resulting physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral dysregulation; experiential practices for healthy nervous system regulation; Q&A; and resources for ongoing learning and practice.
Note: This is not psychotherapy. We will not focus on the personal life events of participants.

Beth Robins Roth, APRN, SEP is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. In 1993, she founded the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Program at the Community Health Center of Meriden, where for 21 years she taught meditation in English and Spanish to adults with chronic medical and mental health issues.
In 2015, she completed a three-year professional training in Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Healing. In 2016, she opened Hummingbird Trauma Resolution, a medical practice specializing in a mind-body approach to resolving trauma/PTSD, physical pain and chronic stress. She teaches, consults, and provides staff development and training for medical providers, mental health clinicians, physical therapists, lawyers, and other professionals.
