Hi, I'm Jim, I've studied meditation since 1982. I started teaching meditation to individuals and small groups in the middle 80's.
Originally a certified teacher of TM, I then studied many traditions. I learned Zen-influenced practice from Thich Nhat Nanh, the Sufi work of Inayat Khan, and Tibetan methods in the Shamballa tradition.
I have been especially influenced by my study of mindfulness and the Vipassana retreats brought to the west by SN Goenka.
When teaching beginners these days I help with simple mantra meditations and mindfulness practices.
