Fitness has always been central to my identity, rooted in my competitive days as a cross-country and track runner.
However, in my 20s, I faced significant challenges with weight management due to metabolic changes and lifestyle shifts. Despite rigorous workouts, I gained over 40 pounds and struggled with persistent yo-yo dieting and extreme weight fluctuations.
Initially, I believed that increasing my workout intensity and severely restricting my food intake could reverse weight gain - but I was mistaken. I had underestimated the importance of proper nutrition and a well-rounded fitness plan.
Hiring a coach in my late 20s changed my life. I learned to balance nourishment with enjoyment, developed sustainable habits, and rediscovered my passion for strength training.
