It's been nearly a year since Josaline's cousin disappeared. But since Rene is lesser than dirt as an Alloy, her disappearance goes uninvestigated. That's the law.

When Josaline discovers his plan to infiltrate the only suspects questioned by the police, she forces her help on him. But no one can know who she is; her powerful family would make things worse, not better.

The search for Rene continues, only now, Josaline and Yuuto have to survive whatever job they have to do for Sora. Yuuto continues to try his best to protect Josaline and keep her out of the Mute underground. However, all his attempts only make things harder for him when Josaline refuses to let him do it alone. Josaline got him into this mess, and she's going to get him out of it whether he likes it or not. What Sora is going to make them do will be illegal and dangerous. And even after they complete the job, is Sora actually going to release them? Sora has had his hooks in Yuuto for years already, but how? What more could Sora do to try and destroy everything Yuuto loves? Josaline didn't start this war, but her entrance only made things worse. Finding Rene and saving her from harm just got a lot more complicated.
