DREAMING OUR ANCIENT FUTURE

Imagining an Interdependent Way Forward

Rooted in Inclusive Leadership, Regenerative Practices & Ancestral Wisdom

Where do we start to create the change we desire?

When it hurts to wake up and see where we're going as a species...

I asked around, and the consensus is clear:

We're not going to make it if we each go alone.

This is the time to remember that we belong to each other and are more resilient, complete, and unstoppable–TOGETHER!

I welcome you to break bread and learn with the most useful, badass, wise, and kind humans whose paths have intertwined with mine.

✨ HERE'S WHAT WE ALL BELIEVE ✨

To move forward, we have to stop only focusing on ascending somewhere alone.

We yearn to go deep inside and remember, reimagine, and return to our interconnected selves.

We are willing to do the work required to reconnect to our divine source, ancestors, diverse and varied neighbors, and the more-than-human world we belong to.

Hi beautiful human,

I'm Karna Liv Nau

This online gathering came to me on December 4th, 2024 between 3 am and 5 am. It was an answer to a silent scream of a prayer living in my heart.

How did we get here? What do we do now? I'm scared for my marginalized brothers, sisters, and siblings! I'm hurting for the planet. I worry about my kids' future. What the f*ck will AI do to us? HEEEEELPPPPPP!

That night, I knew: Stop worrying alone, get all your best people together, and start yarning. I recently learned the aboriginal word yarn from Tyson Yunkaporta's book Sand Talk, and it spoke to me deeply. In my limited understanding, yarning is a way to pass on cultural information and traditions through stories and personal accounts, and that's what I have asked the wisest people I know to share with us at this gathering.

I hope you will join us!

What You Need To Know

What’s the Purpose?

Dreaming Our Ancient Future invites you to engage in honest, personal, and transformative conversations about moving beyond individual healing and embracing our interconnected relationships—with the earth, other humans, ancestors, and all living beings. It’s a gentle call to awaken to the harmful realities of hetero-patriarchal, capitalist, white-supremacist, and colonialist systems while taking personal responsibility for creating a more just, regenerative, and sustainable way of living–all in a non-shaming and joyful way! Baby steps or quantum leaps are welcome. 🙏

Who Is It For?

This gathering is for those who feel the weight of the world’s injustices and systemic oppression (😭) and are ready to move from overwhelm to action and inspiration. While all are welcome, the conversations will primarily focus on how white folks can better understand their role in systemic change and collective healing. Whether you’re seasoned in this work or just beginning, if you’re open to honest conversations and meaningful steps toward living in right relationship with the earth, the human, and more-than-human world, this gathering is for you. We'd love to have you. ♥️

What to Expect

Once you sign up you will receive an email with the recordings of this event.

Over three days in January 2025, we gathered live. Dreaming Or Ancient Future features 14 guides, each sharing their reflections and experiences in one-hour interviews, along with opening and closing ceremonies to ground our shared intentions. You’ll be invited to donate to two farm projects and optionally join a bi-weekly learning group to continue the journey.

Jessica Malone

Life Design Workshop

After years of achieving professional success, I was still unfulfilled. I commanded a 6-figure income, won award after award, and lived in a luxury apartment, but I was burnt out, stressed, and anxious. When I'd had enough, I began to explore what it takes to live the life I desired. In my search, I stumbled upon minimalism and learned to declutter. Through that process, I learned decluttering is about making choices aligned with who you desire to become.

European Ancestral Wisdom

This is for you if you are curious about a new Cosmology based on European ancestral wisdom that can hold you and provide timeless structures in these destabilizing times.

Instead of fixing or problem-solving, this conversation invites you to shift toward regenerative living—grounding your identity in belonging, embracing the truth of what is, and building the capacity to hold opposites without rushing to solutions.

Together, we’ll explore how to divest ourselves from the cycle of extraction and control, celebrate life’s movements as geological events, and focus on what we love in order to cultivate a just and peaceful world. This is about learning to tend to our foundation—earth, home, identity—and skillfully hold opposites so something new can emerge.

Racial Healing as a Pathway to Self-Actualization

This is for you if you're tired of shame-induing conversations about race and you want to explore a different lense that empowers all.

Racism fractures our sense of humanity, limiting our ability to connect authentically with ourselves and others. Healing these fractures allows us to reclaim the wholeness necessary for self-actualization and cultivate deeper resilience, purpose, and clarity. We will discuss how self-actualization is an act of service that contributes to dismantling systems of oppression and building communities rooted in equity and love.

3:15 PM EST

PennElys Droz

Land-Based Wisdom Holder

This is for you if you’re ready to explore how land shapes identity, community, and the possibilities for a self-determined future.

This conversation offers a space to reconsider the role of land—not just as property or resource but as a living force that nurtures stability, connection, and resilience. Together, we’ll examine how relationships with land can ground us during uncertain times, support collective renewal, and foster systems of exchange that move away from extraction. By turning to the wisdom of land, we open the door to new ways of being that honor the interdependence between people and place.

We Can't Break Free From What We Can't Feel

This is for you if you’re ready to confront the hidden weight of shame and its role in keeping us disconnected—from our bodies, our emotions, and each other.

Shame operates in three layers:

  1. Sociocultural ignorance mixed with shame – It’s not ignorance itself but the shame tied to it that keeps us out of our bodies and unable to integrate meaningful change.

  2. Shame’s invisibility – Shame hides, sitting atop other difficult emotions, compounding them and making it one of the hardest things to feel and metabolize.

  3. Cultural focus on being “good” rather than being connected – The wider culture of shame drives us toward performative goodness instead of fostering authentic relationships with ourselves and others.

This conversation invites us to collectively metabolize shame, reclaim our full humanity, and create cultures that embrace complexity, connection, and the possibility of an emancipatory future.

Laughter, an ancient and natural remedy, opens the door to a brighter, more compassionate way of being.

ValueFlow and Radical Reciprocity - Reimagining How We Value and Connect

This is for you if you’re questioning how current systems define value and are ready to explore a more interconnected and sustainable approach to building relationships, organizations, and communities.

In this session, we’ll examine the ways our overemphasis on financial capital has depleted other vital forms of value—natural, social, and personal—and how we can recalibrate toward reciprocity and balance. Together, we’ll explore how systems of "organized suffering" arise from fractured relationships with value and resources and uncover ways to restore flow and harmony by reconnecting to what truly matters.

Drawing on concepts like life contribution, personal currency, and mutual care, this conversation invites you to rethink value as a living, relational force and to identify the imbalances in your own life and work. By embracing radical reciprocity, we can create systems and relationships that nurture collective well-being and build a future where every form of capital is sustained and honored.
