Yoga for Healthy Living Retreat
Costa Rica April 12-19, 2026
Embark on a transformative yoga experience designed to foster awareness of how yoga can promote healthy living, through a combination of community (sangha), mindfulness, breathwork (pranayama), gentle physical practices and time with and within nature.
We will discuss and experience how the effects of yoga can extend off the mat: reducing anxiety, increasing energy and empowering and enabling self-awareness and self-discovery. You will be guided to move intuitively and connect with your own unique experience on the mat, in order to embrace the power to be your own medicine man.
This retreat emphasizes Yoga-based tools that support the pillars for Healthy Living: Mindfulness, Flexibility, Balance, Agility, Strength, Immune System and Stress Management, and is accessible for ANY-BODY, including those 50+ years old.
The Yoga for Healthy Living Retreat will be led by Diane Keyser on April 12-April 19, 2026 in Playa Negra Costa Rica.
Sample Schedule
7:00 Mindfulness, Sangha and Gentle stretching
8:30 Breakfast
10-4 Free time activities: Beach, lunch, spa, relax by pool, read, connect, SUP, beach. OR Scheduled group trip to local beach town or National Park.
4:00 Gentle Flow (unless evening practice)
5:30 Dinner at Peace Retreat or local town
7:00: Ceremony: Cacao or Closing/Reflections. OR Evening practice: Yin or Restorative.
Peace Retreat
Playa Negra
Peace Retreat is a lovely, affordable retreat venue in the jungle, about 1.5 hr from Liberia airport. With shaded hammocks to linger and journal or read; a pool to cool off, socialize or lounge; beautiful structures on 5 acres; delicious vegan meals and a location that can't be beat, Peace Retreat has something for everyone! Only 20 min walk through the small village of Playa Negra brings you to a quiet beach where one can surf, swim or just relax. Spa treatments available on-site.
