Totally Sober October is LIVE (and you can still join!)
Rediscover Yourself and a Life You Love in 31 Days
"It's only when we take away the external influences on our psyche that we can truly begin to understand ourselves, our emotions, our needs, and how we really feel."
Totally Sober October is a FREE 31 day Challenge designed to help you return to your true nature, tap into your most authentic desires, discover what you need to thrive, and craft a life that fulfills YOU.
To do this, the challenge strips away our most common coping patterns that keep us from the life we want and getting our authentic needs and desires met -- and replaces them with what we actually long for.
*Some exceptions will be made, and you can customize the rules to work for YOUR life. I'll show you how. More specifics are provided in onboarding materials.
We are in a state of constant consumption, most of which brings us no closer to ourselves, our desires, or our creative expression.
This challenge eliminates the consumption of "junk food" content and information for 31 days.
When we eliminate the noise, we make space for something new: that which will nourish our souls, particularly connecting with what we authentically feel called to create and contribute to the world.
How to find and engage with what nourishes us is the essence of this program, and I'll guide you through every step in the included 100+ page PDF guide book.
I'll be honest -- I've never guided anyone through this before. But I spent 30 days in absolute silence (no phones, no books, no nothing) followed by 7 days in complete darkness and solitude in the summer of 2021, and during both, I experienced the most exquisite peace and joy I've ever known.
I believe that's as much to do with what wasn't present -- what we are eliminating during this challenge -- as it was to do with the practices I was engaging in.
And I believe you can have a similar experience. Here's what I intend for you to get from this program, and believe you will:
In a world where most people spend around 5 hours per day on their phone (you too -- check your screen time and be shocked), this challenge is truly for everyone. We are ALL being impacted.
However, this challenge will be especially beneficial to those who:
Hi, I'm Micah.
The idea for Totally Sober October originated in the summer of 2021, during which I experienced a 30 day silent meditation retreat followed by 7 days of darkness and solitude. It was through this experience that I discovered a huge key to my life and happiness; less is truly more.
After experiencing how less brought me to a state of profound inner peace and joy, I wanted to bring that into my daily life. I also wanted to bring this idea to others in a way that was tangible, practical, and accessible for the average person.
This challenge, although 31 days in length, opens the door for a more intentional and true-to-self way of being, living, and creating in the world that can, if you let it, reshape your life moving forward.
I look forward to guiding you through this challenge and more largely toward crafting a life that you truly desire.
- Micah
A detailed 100+ page PDF guide outlining the Totally Sober October program and every single action you need to take to succeed and thrive.
A dedicated Telegram group to allow participants to share their experiences and connect with others during the challenge.
Regular emails throughout the challenge to help you stick with the program and stay motivated.
The 100+ page PDF document I've created is essentially a small book, and is your roadmap to success over the 31 days of the Challenge.
The document is split up into 5 parts and will be sent to your inbox on a schedule in "chunks" so you aren't overwhelmed.
The Introductory Materials will be delivered on sign up, and the rest will be sent on a weekly basis starting on Day 4 of the challenge (i.e. upon signup you will have access to the introductory materials, then you'll be sent Week 1, then Week 2 will be sent the following week, and so on).
In short, absolutely everything you need to succeed.
And no, of course I won't spam you!
I'm interested in joining, but I have XYZ plans that I want to celebrate at. What do I do? Should I just do it later? This is by far the most common concern of everyone joining, and it's a valid one. For those that have a healthy relationship with substances (alcohol, cannabis, etc.), a glass of wine at a wedding or a spliff with friends is a rarity and something choose because we enjoy it, not to avoid our current experience. The program is designed to be modified by you in such a way that you can actually do it and succeed. You'll have a chance to modify the rules for yourself and make exceptions in advance if that's the difference between you doing the program vs. avoiding it entirely. The most important thing isn't avoiding substances, but rather, getting clear on how you might be avoiding your present experience with coping mechanisms. If you don't feel substances are a mode of coping, modify as needed. If you do, really consider sticking to your plans AND skipping the substances. How is this different from a digital detox / dopamine detox? This challenge is a process of both a stripping away and rebuilding/becoming unlike a digital detox which focuses solely on elimination. |
What if I have a serious addictive habit? This challenge does not prescribe medical advice of any kind and is not responsible for any adverse circumstances that may come from participation. The number one rule is, of course, to not endanger yourself. I recommend seeking medical advice/therapy to assist you if you desire to participate in this challenge to the fullest extent. |
Why are you doing this for free? What do you get out of this? Additionally, one of my deepest values is to make a difference in the world, and I love the chance to share what I've learned. I had so many friends say they were interested in tagging along with this experiment I originally created for myself that I thought I would share it. Money was never the goal. That said, I will be offering paid support in the form of 1-on-1 coaching and a group container for participants of this program, so there is a financial incentive, but it's not the driving force for me. Contribution is. |
And no, of course I won't spam you!
