I hear you're looking for ARCs...
My name is Sloane Sabel and I'm collecting Darlings
Welcome!
First things first, lets talk about Sloane.
Sloane's has a love of the dark and bloody themes in their paranormal romance. There will be monsters, magic, and murder. Content warnings are always listed in the front matter of the book as well as on the website and will be provided for ARC's.
Sloane writes queernormative worlds with queer romance and queer characters. That means a lot of gay on page and pronouns other than she, her, he and him. If that bothers you in any way, then Sloane's books aren't for you and you shouldn't sign up.
Who is Sloane Sabel?
They are a pansexual, gender fluid, witch cursed into monogamy through love. You can find out more about them HERE.
How we run things...the FAQ
How does this whole team work?
We like to keep things simple.
When we have an ARC coming up, we'll shoot you an email with all of the info you need and a form to sign up. All ARC's will be fulfilled using book funnel. The first 500 to sign up get the ARC. Easy peasy. If you don't think you'll have time or don't really vibe with that book, don't sign up.
When it comes time to review, book funnel will send you a reminder with links. Post your reviews and you're done.
Every software has limits and we can only send so many ARC's. As much as we'd love to send them to everyone, we can't. So we prioritize people who review often, in Sloane's genres, with books containing similar themes.
Most specifically, queer books. Why? Because they've been review bombed before and don't want to deal with that again.
Give us the links to the places you review books the most. For example: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, etc. If you have a blog add that link. If you've never reviewed before, provide links where you'd like to post reviews.
YES! Post your review regardless of stars and explain why and what elements you hated. We want honest reviews and Sloane won't penalize anyone for speaking their opinion because your opinion matters.
Unless of course that opinion is steeped in discrimination or phobias. Don't post those and instead go seek education.
If you notice some typos and would like to let us know, screenshot the issues and then email the whole lot of them to [email protected].
If you find something that we missed, such as offensive terminology or a missed trigger, please email me directly at [email protected]. I take those matters very seriously and appreciate any and all heads up 🖤
Liked a book and want to tag Sloane on socials? Hell yeah! Tag away.
Hated the book and want to tag Sloane? No thanks. They do not have a degradation kink.
We don't remove people from the team lightly. Not liking a book won't get you removed. But we can tell you what will:
Any sort of derogatory language, racism, homophobia, etc.
Bullying, doxxing, or threatening behavior to ANYONE ANYWHERE.
Never opening emails (we know because we track them)
Signing up for multiple ARC's and never reviewing (we know because we track this)
Sound good?
Great! We're happy to meet you and look forward to sharing Sloane's work. Fill out the form below and submit it. We will automatically shoot you an email letting you know we've received it and will get back to you as soon as we can.
