Great Glossy Count Workshops 2023

    Meet other citizen scientists and learn about the Vulnerable South-eastern Glossy Black-Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus lathami lathami, a.k.a. "Glossy") and how to collect data to support its bushfire recovery.

    Workshop content will include:

    • how to identify Glossies and estimate their age and sex;
    • how to recognise Glossy feed trees;
    • Glossy Black-Cockatoo ecology and behaviour;
    • how to record data which can be used to protect Glossies and their habitat; and
    • how to collect data and stay safe in the field.

    Workshops for the Great Glossy Count 2023 are held by BirdLife Australia and our collaborators the Glossy Black Conservancy.
