I'll be back tomorrow with another explorative and playful colour activity!
Liz Chamberlain - Your Host
Liz is passionate about colour, delighted when exploring how far a colour can stretch, feeling most excited when investigating the middle space… where art and science (chemistry, botany, biology, physiology) intersect, embracing structure and chaos, space and connection, seeing beauty in a mess or “perfection” in a “mistake”. Becoming aware of and living within the many shades of grey that exist between black and white…and maybe even creating a few more. Her art is a practice in processing feelings and connecting to deeper wisdom, where colour is a fluid symbol, expressing and evoking emotion, providing perspective, antidote and transformation. Her soul work is to spark inspiration and curiosity while sharing that which delights and fascinates her, holding space for others' colour discoveries as they reclaim joy and confidence.

Lisa Solomon
Lisa Solomon is a mixed media artist based in the Bay Area who moonlights as an author, professor, illustrator, and color enthusiast. She often questions and deconstructs the meaning of identity and personal histories through the use of mediums traditionally associated with domestic crafts. A “hapa” [½ Japanese, ½ Caucasian] she feels as though hybridization is consistently at play in her work. She exhibits her work both nationally and internationally and is known for her books A Field Guide to Color and The Color Meditation Deck. Lisa shares her home with her husband, a teenage daughter, a bevy of pets and many many spools of thread. She continually works to bridge the gaps between being creative, living creatively and making a living as a creative.
