I’m Arena Page — former Head of RTW Patterns at Ralph & Russo, now founder of a luxury lingerie brand.
My career has spanned Couture and RTW Fashion Weeks, red carpet clients, and couture houses — where I’ve solved garment crises most people never see.
Now, I’m offering something few people ever get: a direct window into couture-level cutting, draping, and decision-making — taught from inside the system.

The Truth About The Fashion Industry
I’ve watched countless fashion brands fail time and time again.
London fashion is always fresh, always green — because it never matures. Young designers rise on passion, not structure. Collections get made by hungry graduates who are thrown in deep with no mentorship. Senior staff like me are stretched thin, working to immensely tight, never-ending deadlines without an opportunity to pass on the skills to a new generation. In most companies, the atelier structures are lacking junior roles to cut costs and save time.
And still, each year, another brand folds — not for lack of talent, but for lack of knowledge, time, and training. They don’t know fabrics. They try to design before they know how garments are made.
The industry is losing its technical backbone — and the few of us left can’t keep carrying it alone.
I want to teach what no course, fashion school, or YouTuber can. But before I build it, I need to know who’s listening.

Why I’m Creating This Space
I’ve seen this cycle for over a decade. And I’ve come to a place in my career where I don’t want to just execute. I want to pass it on. My knowledge isn’t in books. It’s in my fingers, my eyes, my memory. It’s in the hundreds of challenges I’ve had to solve. I believe the next generation of makers — the ones who want to do it properly — deserve access to real craft. But before I create anything, I want to know if you are in need of this knowledge.
Are you one of them?
Draping looks complex.
But once you learn to read fabric, it speaks to you

What others say...
Arena is an incredible mentor and teacher. Her passion for preserving the craft of pattern cutting is infectious, and she has a rare talent for making complex techniques feel accessible and clear. I had the privilege of working with her early in my career, and I learned so much — not just technically, but in confidence too. Her guidance played a huge role in shaping my path in the fashion industry.
Niamh
Arena is incredibly knowledgeable and a fantastic teacher. She guided me through the full process of drafting a corset from scratch — from marking directly on the mannequin to translating it into paper patterns. Her teaching style is clear, hands-on, and genuinely inspiring. I would absolutely recommend learning from her — she brings both skill and clarity to every step.
Lisa
Working with Arena has been a pleasure. Her ability to create directly on the stand is a rare skill — precise, intuitive, and deeply valuable. Draping like this is becoming a lost art, and Arena is one of the few keeping it alive.

FAQ
Not sure If this would be for you?
Yes, there’s YouTube. There are books. There’s Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest. But most of what’s out there wasn’t made by people working in the industry.
It’s hobbyists. Influencers. Graduates who never made it past the first job. Or home sewers giving tips that fall apart when you actually need to deliver a garment for real bodies, real deadlines, real clients.
And if you’re just starting out — how would you even know the difference?
What looks polished isn’t always professional.
What’s popular isn’t always correct.
That’s why I’m doing this. Because the only way to learn couture-level draping, precision fit, and true commercial pattern cutting — is from someone who’s been doing it at the highest level, day after day, for years.
This course is designed with advanced practice in mind, but that doesn’t mean beginners can’t learn. If you have a genuine curiosity and willingness to practice, you’ll be able to follow the principles of drape. You don’t need experience — just a deep desire to understand how fabric works in three dimensions.
You’ll need a good-quality atelier mannequin (or regular access to one), some calico or muslin for draping, plenty of pins, and marking tools. A measuring tape, scissors, and some fabric — depending on your project — will also help you practice with intention. That’s it!
In my experience, pattern cutters who can drape are highly sought after — especially in couture houses where speed, creativity, and precision matter. Draping allows you to create the first prototypes (toiles) directly on the stand, bringing the designer’s vision to life faster and more fluidly than flat cutting alone.
It’s especially valuable for red carpet and couture projects, where there’s no room for second chances. Drape gives you another language — and with it, more confidence, better results, and wider career opportunities.
Just the manual! There are plenty of courses out there teaching Lectra, Clo3D, and similar digital systems. What I’m offering is different. If you want to sharpen your skills as a cutter, manual cutting and draping are just as essential as the digital tools. This is about craftsmanship — what your hands, eyes, and intuition can build before the screen even comes on.
What You’ll Walk Away With
Whether you’re a beginner with ambition or a cutter ready to level up, this is the training the industry forgot to give.
A pattern that fits — every time
Couture-level draping techniques no one teaches
Confidence to create in any atelier, studio, or design house
A way of thinking that sets you apart from the crowd
This is not your average fashion pattern cutting course. It’s hands-on, couture-led training for those serious about fit, fabric, and flow..
