Being a debut author is awesome!

Sometimes it's also overwhelming and lonely.

We can help ...

Five tips to avoid feeling overwhelmed as a debut author

Sign up to the mailing list and get a free short guide to help you feel less overwhelmed. Put together by three experienced authors, these are the tips that we've found most useful when the publishing journey gets too stressful.
You will also get our regular newsletter with tips, advice and opportunities that we've spotted through our networks.

What's inside?

There are downloadable handouts based around common issues faced by new authors starting to build their platform for the first time. There's a theme each month - sometimes with a challenge to get you moving.

Here's what's coming up in 2023:

June - Get your newsletter started (a challenge)

July - Writing the difficult second novel

August - Social media and promotion - how to plan/ schedule stuff so that you can keep up

September - What your agent can and should do for you

Most of all, it's a community where debut authors can meet and collaborate. The three of us at Fiction Tutors will be on hand to answer questions too, especially the ones that are of the 'my publisher said/did this, is this normal?' variety.

Who we are

We are Alison, Janet and Jeev. We are all midlist authors who have been published for over a decade. We met when we were all writing for the same small publisher. We have written dozens of books, in several different genres, between us now and have books out with publishers ranging from small indies to imprints of the Big Four.
