Dutch Income Tax Webinar for Expats

In collaboration with Radboud University

Tax season in the Netherlands can raise many questions, particularly if you relocated during the year and are filing your first Dutch income tax return.

On 26 March, Dutchtaxadvice.nl will host an online webinar for expats connected to Radboud University, providing practical guidance on Dutch income tax obligations and common international tax situations.

Many participants will need to file an M-form for their first return. This session is designed to clarify what that means and how cross-border elements may affect your Dutch tax position.

What We Will Cover

During the webinar, we will discuss:

• Determining Dutch tax residency and what this means in practice
• Filing your first Dutch income tax return, including the M-form
• The Dutch Box system (Box 1, Box 2 and Box 3) and how different types of income are taxed
• Reporting foreign income, assets and international bank accounts
• Cross-border situations, such as living in Belgium or Germany while working in the Netherlands
• Salary splits and situations where tax returns may need to be filed in multiple countries
• The 30% ruling and how it impacts your tax return

There will also be time at the end of the session to address general questions.
