Ruth Sanger is a native of Delaware, the state not the county. Writing has always been a passion project of hers in between teaching music and performing in community theater. Living in China for four years gave her a unique perspective on life and she tries to express that in her writing style. You can usually find her singing a song and a book in hand!
Long ago, the three magics of the world came together to bring balance to the universe. Europe brought a staff carved from the Tree of Life. Asia brought a jade orb, imbued with magical power. Africa brought a gold bowl, decorated to look like the wings of magical birds, one wing to represent each magic: a crane for Asia, a hawk for Africa, and a raven for Europe. This brought balance to the magics and all was well for a long time. Until it was broken…
Wren Byrne was a good Arsa soldier: she followed orders and didn’t ask too many questions. She fought diligently to help her clan fix the magical imbalance of the world. That is, until she met zheng operative Lily Zuo. Together with their friends, they will embark on a journey across the globe in an attempt to rebalance and save the world of magic.

"I hope you can live with yourself, Anne, when you look back on this moment.”
After years of mismanagement, Kellynch Bookstore is in danger of closing down. Though Anne has offered many possible improvements, no one acknowledges that she exists. Instead, her father and sister hire Croft Business Consultants to revive the store. To Anne’s horror, the team is being led by none other than Fred Wentworth…and he’s still furious that she let her aunt persuade her not to marry him. To add insult to injury, he gets a front row seat to the poor treatment she gets from her family on top of being completely ignored by him. While it hurts, Anne accepts his punishment for her and does her best to hold everything together for the store.
But when a friend is rushed to the hospital, something changes between them. Fred begins to seek Anne’s company and old feelings resurface. The more time they spend together, the more Anne thinks that she isn’t the only one who would like to rekindle what they once shared.
Maybe, after all of these years, the timing will finally be right for them.

Are an unlikely pair
But when Water meets Fire
All will be repaired
Everyone knows that the elementals can’t leave their element. Mermaids stay in the water, fire salamanders in the hearth, and the sylphs keep to the air. The few remaining earth elementals that haven’t been turned to stones or trees keep to the forest and hide from humans. For nearly a century, elemental sights have been scarce on most of the Continent. The only place on the Continent where elementals are commonplace is the country of Laulao.
Laulao has long been a safe haven for the elementals, and the royal twins Felicity and Edward have kept that tradition alive. It helps, of course, that Felicity has a touch of water magic and Edward a touch of air magic. Together they have ruled Laulao peacefully ever since their uncle, the most powerful fire mage on the Continent, disappeared without a trace ten years ago. But when Prince James, a friend to Edward and student of their uncle, comes to Laulao, a prophecy is set in motion that changes everything. Even though fire and water mages do not work together, James and Felicity find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other. It seems impossible: the stoic and powerful fire mage and the shy and hapless water mage together?
But when Water meets Fire, the impossible can happen.
