My 5-year-old is really enjoying this book. She actually asks to do math. I love how it incorporates the Bible each day, and how it teaches responsibility and clean-up afterwards, too!

I love the “daily script” of looking over the calendar each day. It has helped my children understand the pattern of time. I love the gentle start with the first few lessons being very simple and just introducing the routine and playing with the props (bears and blocks).

Amazon Review

I love that the Bible verses are just that-not a Bible lesson- but a practice of looking up the book and chapter and verse together and seeing how numbers are everywhere. My 4 and 6 year old looking for those tiny numbers for the verses was a sweet sight.

FAQ

Yes! The first few lessons show you exactly what to say as the teacher. And each concept is introduced with very simply instructions. This course is designed for minimal prep and guided conversations with a curious child.

There is a complete supplies list at the beginning of the book. Must needed items are a set of six-colored counting bears and wooden (or plastic) pattern blocks. These can be purchased online or any teacher resource store. Other items are simple: Bible, calendar, crayons, paper, coins, paper cups. A few lessons need more specific items like ingredients to make bread together, a deck of cards, dominoes.

There are no worksheets in the book. The only "consumable" part of the book is the handle checkboxes for each lesson. Families with multiple children chose to re-use the same book for each child.
