Take a pause with this essential day for busy women (40-ish +) to focus on nourishing food, movement, and social connection.

As the leaves change and days get cooler, autumn invites us to slow down, reflect and think about how we can nourish ourselves through the autumn (and life!) season ahead.

Get out of the city and join a community of other English-Speaking Women for a cozy, relaxed, and supportive day. We’ll explore the shifts that may come with this stage of life and how nutrition,  movement, and community can be powerful tools for health and wellbeing. (We speak French too!)

“I need to escape the city!”

"I miss hanging out with other English-speaking women."

"There's never time to prepare healthy meals for ME."

"I know I need more exercise."

"Life is always so stressful!"

"WHAT IS UP with my moods?! Post-partum? The beginning of peri-menopause? BOTH?!"

Yea? That's why we created this day retreat!!!

Whether you’re curious about navigating the changes of perimenopause, or simply looking for a chance to relax and recharge, this retreat will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the season ahead.

(The retreat is offered in English but we speak French too!)

The day includes:

  •  Awareness Talk Learn about perimenopause and how changing hormones may impact you, plus simple lifestyle adjustments to support your shifting needs.
  • Core and Restore© Movement Session A Pilates-based class, addressing core and pelvic floor health, modifications for common life-stage related changes, and self-myofascial techniques to release and relax tension.
  • Nourish and Flourish Cooking Class  Discover and cook simple, nourishing recipes to support hormone health, maintain energy levels, and nurture your wellbeing.
  •  Lunch We’ll share the meal (our experiences and maybe some laughs) together in a cosy & relaxed atmosphere.

  • Guided Journaling and Planning Create your own plan that includes nutrition, movement, and self-care strategies, to make what you learn into actionable and sustainable shifts to support your wellbeing in ALL seasons of life.

FAQ's

Q: Do I need to have Pilates Experience?

A: Not at all! We'll be doing functional human movement and some traditional Pilates exercises but modifications can be suggested and opting out of any or all of the exercises is your call! We'll specifically be addressing some of the physical challenges that can appear in the peri-menopause transition.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear something you can comfortably move in with a removable layer in case you get warm in the movement class. Cozy and comfy clothes are encouraged. If you have anti-slip socks those are great to have if you do not like to work barefoot.

Q: Will the menu accommodate special diets?

A: You bet! Just let us know if you are a vegan, vegetarian, have allergies, or have other restrictions.

Q: Do I need anything else?

A: Your prefered exercise mat. You will be more comfortable with a thicker Pilates-type but a yoga mat (or two) works.  (If you really don't have one contact us.)

Q: Is the location easy to get to from Paris?

A: YES! VERY EASY to reach the H2E Centre.  (Click for venue) Take the TER train from Montparnasse to Rambouillet (34 minutes). A 9:15am shuttle from the station to the venue can be arranged. Parking is also available if you are driving . We can connect participants closer to the date if you'd like to share rides!
