Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation.” The practice draws our attention inwards where our body and mind find a natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis). Yoga Nidra works on the central nervous system and helps us relax from the inside out. 

Practicing Yoga Nidra on a regular basis can really benefits those of us in our 50s and beyond by reducing stress, aiding in managing anxiety, and promoting better sleep. Yoga Nidra allows access delta brainwaves, which are responsible for the healing and restoration that happens in your body during deep sleep, so it also promotes healing.

In this meditation, I'll guide you through a 16-minute Yoga Nidra practice. You'll need to make sure you find a quiet space where you'll be free from distractions where you can immerse yourself in the calming effects of this wonderful practice.
