SEAN W WILLSON
Meet the author
Sean W. Willson is an author with a lifelong love of fiction and storytelling. Their work is driven by a fascination with character and the inner lives that shape human behaviour. Through their writing, they explore the emotional and psychological depths of their characters, inviting readers into richly imagined worlds.

What my readers say
Sean manages to capture the complexity of being a teenager in the modern world — jealousy, comparison, first encounters with grief, and the vulnerability that comes with romantic feelings - in under 200 pages.
I came away with a clear sense of each character. Maya, in particular, stood out to me — she is remarkably wise for a teenager — and Nolan is the kind of brother we all wish we had.
I also couldn’t help but pay close attention to the meaning behind the characters’ names. Maya means “water” in Hebrew, and water sustains life; this felt like a fitting reflection of her nurturing qualities. Nolan means “noble,” which aligns beautifully with his respectful, brave nature — especially in how he carries his bisexuality. And of course, Emit, the reverse spelling of “time,” felt especially intentional. My sense is that a great deal of care went into choosing these names, and it shows.

Beta Reader
I was selected to be a beta reader from TikTok. I went in with low expectations but fell in love with the nostalgic feel of the book. It felt like my teenage years but had such a deep underlying set of emotions. I fell in love with the characters, Nolan in particular. They had such chemistry and love. I think I appreciate this more as an adult than I would have if I was a teenager.
About half way through the book i realized there was something deeper happening and i loved the way it came together. Felt like a warm mug of tea (IYKYK😉)
I wish it was longer!!!!!! Although the speed of the book felt right, I wish I had more time with some of the characters.
Would recommend even though it was just a beta version.
