Who is Raquel?
I'm a legal consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the banking and insurance industry as a legal consultant. My legal expertise and deep understanding of the intricacies of the Portuguese economy were something I knew I could use to create my business. When my third daughter was born, I created Lighthouse Consulting.
Lighthouse Consulting was born out of the necessity of expats who I've known through my daughter's school and were in need of someone bilingual with the technical knowledge on all things legal for their business. My passion for entrepreneurship and my drive to empower expats in Portugal is the driving force behind these last two years of success.
I'm a resident speaker on the Good Morning Portugal show and have been a speaker in many summits targeted to expats such as both 2024 and 2023 Portugal Plan Virtual Summit, Move to Portugal Virtual Summit with Blaxit Global & Ric & Halisi from OurBlackUtopia.com. I've also been delivering talks for the HappyIn Community in several special meet ups.
