What We Do

It's more than volunteering, it's community, but more than that, it's family - the MAC Family.

What is Parent Club?

Formally established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2023, Meramec Heights Supporters, AKA Parent Club, is made up of volunteers from the school community who are invested in nurturing a sense of belonging in the students of Meramec Heights Elementary, affectionately known as The MAC.

Parent Club isn't just for moms or even just for parents! If you have a vested interest in the well-being of one or more children at the MAC, then you are welcome!

We are on a mission to enrich the educational experience of every MAC student by fostering a sense of fun and community, making us all one family, The MAC Family!

Get Involved

What we do

We seek to build community in our school through planning events, organizing volunteers, supporting our teachers and staff, and providing funds to supplement and/or replace outdated resources.

Plan community events & fundraisers

We plan or help to plan 15+ events throughout the school year, like the Back to School Block Party, skate nights, the Color Run and more! We believe the best way to build community is by bringing everyone together to create a sense of fun and belonging.

Support our school staff

Whether we're coordinating volunteers for school-led events, organizing donation drives to stock the teachers' lounge, catering dinners during conferences, or sharing those teacher wish lists, we believe that when teachers and staff feel supported our kids thrive - both in and out of the classroom.

Fund resources & improvements

Thanks to the generosity of this community, Parent Club has been able to fund a new playground (2017), library furniture (2019), Chromebooks (2020), Gaga ball pit (2025), rocker chairs (2025), and more! We look to do even more in the future!

Research shows that your engagement in your student's school is closely linked to better student behavior, higher academic achievement, and enhanced social and emotional skills.

No matter how much or how little time you have to commit, there's a volunteer opportunity to fit!

There are ways to help that require little to no time commitment at all!

Have some extra time?

Volunteer for an hour or two! Some events require volunteer help to make them happen. Help staff events, set up before or clean up after an event, the kids love seeing you there!

Good on the phone or email?Seek out fundraising opportunities, donations and sponsorships from businesses for silent auction items.

Have more extra time?

Join a planning committee or even lead one and put those creative skills to use making our events the best they can be!

Attend Parent Club meetings to share ideas, suggestions, and have first crack at upcoming opportunities. We meet for about 60-75 minutes about once a month, depending on the school calendar.
