About me
I am a primary and early years teacher who is passionate about sharing active and creative storytelling ideas that bring parents and children together. I have been running real life storytelling workshops for parents and children since 2014, and now I would love to set up an online storytelling community for parents and children. My goal is to help children develop their communication and language skills (including vocabulary), coordination skills and most importantly their imaginations, through active, immersive storytelling adventures that they go on with you!
About the course

As part of this course, I will guide you and your child step by step through storytelling adventures in the comfort of your home, and you’ll develop skills you can use anytime, anywhere.
We’ll explore:
how to set the scene for a story;
how to use voice and actions to capture a child’s interest from the start and bring a story to life;
how to make and use props (real and imaginary);
how to tap into your greatest resource - your child’s imagination - so that storytelling becomes an enjoyable, interactive, collaborative and magical time!
This course is for parents and carers with young children (aged 3-7) who would love to do more creative storytelling with them, and would like simple and practical ideas and advice for how to develop their child’s own ideas in a fun and engaging way, even when tired and busy.
