Smithers & Friends Community Group, Inc. is governed by a four-member Board of Directors representing communities across the Upper Kanawha Valley.
Collectively, board members bring complementary expertise in nonprofit budget oversight and financial management, community engagement and partnership-building, fundraising and resource development, environmental science and citizen-led stewardship, and arts-based programming.
This mix of regional perspective and applied skill strengthens oversight, keeps programs grounded in local realities, and ensures decisions reflect both operational discipline and community impact.
