Tucker Santillanes - High Schooler - Age 16
"Camp has giving me a lot of connections with people, friends, and most importantly Jesus. It is a great way to bond with my leaders and peers. Every time I go, CIY has helped me get closer to God and it gives me a opportunity to invite other people to come experience it with me. So please help keep the cost low!"
Dalilah James - High Schooler - Age 15
"Going to CIY Move has been such a positive experience for me. I've been to MOVE twice now, and I consider it a haven of sorts. For five days, it feels like an escape. The music is so good, I'm there with my friends, and I can be independent but supervised at the same time. In the five days I'm there I feel close to God. I feel separated from everything happening that's negative outside of the campus. I have learned so much and will always love my time there. Every night Worship feels like a concert, the speakers are phenomenal. CIY has an amazing impact on my faith, I will forever recommend CIY as an opportunity for a summer camp!"
Keannah Steffen - Middle Schooler - Age 12
"Camp as brought me closer not only to God but to other people! It has helped me learn what and who God is, and it is a great place to make friends and play some fun games. The best part is definitely the food!"
Landon Fray - High Schooler - Age 15
"Last year was my first time ever going to a camp like that and it made me feel like God accepted me. I was able to listen to the worship music for the first time which I loved. I believe the experience let me get closer to God and I met people who could also help me and my relationship with Jesus."
Charlotte Emerson - High Schooler - Age 16
"Camp was a really good experience spiritually and relationally. During camp I’ve never had a closer friend group. CIY definitely sparks kids to move forward in their faith journey and make stronger bonds. A lot of my best memories came from camp. It was some of the most fun I've ever had and it's one of those experiences I always look forward to. I especially enjoy becoming extra close and personal with my group and leaders. It feels rare sometimes that I genuinely feel at home and like a family in a group like that."
Star Linne - High Schooler - Age 15
"In July of 2020 my eldest sister died unexpectedly. My sister was the biggest believer and follower of Christ I have ever met, she had the light of Jesus shining through her. After she passed away I had a very hard time with my faith, and I was angry with God for taking her away. I kept showing up to church but I still felt a huge disconnect. I went to CIY MIX for the first time the summer before I went into 7th grade. When I was at camp I finally was able to come to peace with my sisters death and understood why she had to go. It took a huge weight off of my shoulders and I had nothing but appreciation to God for taking her. It restored my faith and made my relationship with God stronger than it ever had been before. I was given a scholarship to go to camp that summer, I came up with the rest of the money on my own since that wasn’t something we could afford on our own. I wouldn’t have been able to go without a scholarship and I wouldn’t have repaired my relationship with Christ or gotten closure."
Garrett Borgun - High Schooler - Age 18
"When I first got to camp I had a relationship with God, but I will admit that it was not a very strong one. But as the week went on I continually felt a strong connection with God and even felt the Holy Spirit enter my body. By the end of a week filled with spiritual discovery and new emotions I was certain that I wanted to get baptized"
Aria Bowers - High Schooler - Age 15
"At camp I felt a deeper connection with God. In small groups the questions were deep and personal and they found a way to connect what we were reading in the Bible to our lives. I felt safe and comfortable and was able to be vulnerable with the people around me. I knew that I was wanted and accepted not only by God but also the people around me."
