During the programme we will focus on you and your needs. Everyone is individual so we will create a bespoke plan for you to follow making adjustments every week if needed.

      My approach is not only food based but includes lots of lifestyle changes too. I believe that if we live more in line with nature then our body will naturally know what it is meant to do. Over the course of 12 weeks we will find the root cause of what could be preventing you conceive using functional testing if needed and implement diet and lifestyle changes to help bring your body back in to balance, reduce inflammation and improve your egg quality.

      Hi, I'm Susan, a Nutritional Therapist who specialises in fertility for women over 35. I first became interested in nutrition when I suffered from terrible acne as a teenager and throughout my twenties. I was put on Roaccutane 3 times which helped but it would always come back. I also had terrible bloating and reoccurring tonsillitis. I began to realise that something wasn't right internally and started doing my own research in to what could causing all of my issues. I found loads of information on how food can affect your skin and couldn't believe I had never been told any of this. After changing my diet and having dramatic results, I wanted to learn more and spread the word.

      Whilst studying Nutritional Therapy, I started trying to conceive with my partner. I was healthy and had regular cycles, he already had 2 children so I didn't think it would take long. How wrong was I! After 5 years and 3 rounds of IVF we finally had success. During those years, I did a lot of research, tried out different diets, approaches, lifestyle practices and other alternative therapies. I've learnt what works and what doesn't and my goal is to help you conceive naturally so you don't need to go through fertility treatment.

      What to expect:

      Nutrition and Hydration: 

      Our body's need the correct nutrients so it can carry out all of its functions. Reproduction is very energy intensive so we will focus on not only feeding your body with nutrients but working on digestion to make sure you are absorbing them. We will also look at blood sugar balance as this can affect hormones and inflammation. Hydration is key for reproduction as the majority of our body is water and it provides energy for the body.


      Toxin Load and Detox Pathways: 

      We are surrounded by chemicals that can disrupt our hormones. Not only are we ingesting them but we are putting them directly on our skin and they are absorbed straight into our blood stream. We will look at reducing your toxin load and opening your detox pathways to get them out of your system before you conceive.

      Stress Management and Mindset: 

      When we're stressed, certain functions of the body are put on the back burner. Reproduction and digestion being two of them. We will look at reducing your stress levels and building your resilience to cope with stress. Mindset is crucial for reproduction as our thoughts shape our reality. But, it needs to be more than just thoughts, we need to actually feel the emotions of holding a baby in our arms. I guide you through some practices to help with this.


      Circadian Rhythm and Light Environment: 

      Our hormones get their signals from our environment, particularly light, so if your body is out of sync with the natural light/dark cycles, your hormones will be too. Cortisol and Melatonin are crucial hormones when it comes to reproduction. Cortisol should be produced in the morning, in response to sunrise and gradually decreases throughout the day and Melatonin should be produced at night in response to darkness. Having these in sync helps balance hormones starting at the very core and is one of the most profound things you can do for your fertility. It certainly moved the needle for me which is why I am so passionate about it.

      Functional testing may also be carried out to investigate the root cause of why you care struggling to conceive. The cost of these tests is not included in the price of The Fertility Optimisation Programme but I do not charge extra for interpreting them.
