Hello, my name is Benedita Martins, and I am a general care nurse.
I graduated in Nursing from the University of Minho in Braga, completing the course in 2018. Two years later, in 2020, I moved to Mafra, where I began a professional journey that combines knowledge, experience, and a genuine passion for caring. Over the past few years, I have worked in Continuing Care, in the Surgical Inpatient Unit at Hospital Prof. Doutor Fernando Fonseca (HFF), and in a private clinic in Ericeira. These experiences have allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of people's needs at different stages of life.
The area I am most passionate about is wound care. I have experience with both acute wounds, common among the surfing community in Ericeira, and chronic wounds, particularly in elderly individuals with increased skin fragility.
I am currently pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Wound Treatment and Tissue Viability, aiming to become an expert in this field and provide the most up-to-date, safe, and effective care.
I believe that every person deserves a close and personalized approach. My focus is on promoting comfort, proper healing, preventing complications, and, above all, improving quality of life.
