⚙️ What We Expect from Participants

  • The Player Development Program is designed for players who are serious about their development.
To be part of the program, participants must commit to:

Training twice per weekto focus on individual skill improvement, match play and game analysis
Attending at least 80% of sessions.
We understand illness or unexpected events can happen, but consistency is vital for progress — and for building strong teams.

    Tournament Participation
PDP teams (U12 and U14) will compete in several major tournaments throughout the year, including:

    • Devonport Cup

    • Launceston Cup

    • Hobart or Sorell Cup (pending scheduling and age groups)

    • Kanga Cup – Canberra (July 2026) 🇦🇺 (subject to team selection and availability)

These tournaments provide incredible opportunities for players to challenge themselves, experience different levels of competition, and build lifelong memories with their teammates.

Players and families should expect some travel and accommodation costs associated with these events, particularly for the Kanga Cup.
To help make participation accessible, the club will coordinate fundraising efforts to support travel and team expenses.

Most importantly, these tournaments require full team commitment — every player plays a vital role in the squad’s success.
If players withdraw late or choose not to travel, it affects the entire team’s ability to compete effectively.

    A growth mindset.
The PDP is about improvement, effort, and commitment. If a player’s main focus is simply to “play for fun” or “just be with their mates,” that’s absolutely fine — but this program may not be the right fit. The PDP is for players who want to train hard, improve, and take their football to the next level.

🏆 What Makes the PDP Unique

  • Expert Coaching: Led by accredited, experienced coaches focused on technical and tactical growth.

  • Tailored Player Development: Sessions designed to challenge players and support their individual journey.

  • Inclusive Pathways: The PDP includes both boys’ and girls’ programs, with a growing female development stream.

  • Competitive Environment: Players learn to perform as part of a team while developing leadership, resilience, and accountability.
