Survival mode is useful when you're actually in danger. The problem is when it becomes your default setting, when your system can't tell the the difference between a real threat and a long to-do list, a difficult conversation, or a screen full of notifications.

WEEK 1

How Your Nervous System Actually Works

We start with the map. You'll learn the three states your nervous system moves through, how to recognize which one you're in right now, and why this changes everything (Polyvagal theory, but explained practical and clear).

WEEK 2

Reading Your Body’s Signals

Your body is constantly talking to you. This session teaches you to listen. You’ll develop interoceptive awareness (the skill of noticing what’s happening inside) and start working with sensation rather than overriding it.

WEEK 3

What to Do When You're Activated

When you're anxious, wired, or spiraling, what actually helps? We practice breathwork, grounding techniques, and movement that bring your system down. Not to stop feeling, but to give your body a way out of the loop.

WEEK 4

What to Do When You're Shut Down

Sometimes the nervous system doesn’t spike, it collapses. Numb. Disconnection. Low motivation. This session is for that state. You'll learn what shutdown actually is and the practices that bring you back.

WEEK 5

Building Your Own Practice

We put it all together. You’ll leave with a clear picture of your patterns and a few go-to practices that fit your real life. Not a perfect routine you'll never stick to. Just the things that actually work for your nervous system.

Meet Your Teacher

I'm Mari, and I came to this work through my own body.

For years, I lived in a state I couldn't name: constantly braced, always alert, never quite able to relax. I had chronic tension, health issues doctors couldn't explain, and a nervous system that treated every stressful email like a crisis.

I was "healthy." I was also exhausted.

Yoga gave me my first real experience of shifting my state, not through willpower, but through practice. That sent me into years of research: polyvagal theory, somatic regulation, the autonomic nervous system, the science behind why certain practices work when others don't. I needed to understand why my body was doing what it was doing.

Once I did, everything changed.

I've been teaching since 2023, specializing in nervous system regulation from day one, because that's what transformed my life, and it's what I see people need most.

I work with people who've tried the apps, the breathing exercises, the routines—and still can't get their system to settle. People who are tired of being told to relax without being told how.

What I bring: the science (years of independent study in polyvagal theory and somatic practices) and the lived experience of feeling stuck in survival mode and finding a way out.

Because most yoga and meditation instruction tells you what to do, not why it works. Once you understand the nervous system logic behind the practices, what state you’re in, what’s driving it, what kind of input actually shifts it, the same techniques start working differently.

All sessions are recorded. You won’t fall behind if life gets in the way. The live sessions do have a different quality: you can ask questions, practice together, feel the group. So I’d encourage you to attend when you can. But missing one won’t derail you.

The weekly sessions are 75 minutes each. Between sessions, I recommend 10–15 minutes of practice per day, but even a few minutes, done consistently, makes a real difference.

This isn’t a program designed for people with a lot of free time. It’s designed for people who are already busy and need something genuinely useful.
