When are the educational sessions?
Accepted participants are REQUIRED to attend the following 5 training sessions:
Monday, January 6 (in person) 7-9PM
Monday, January 20 (virtual) 7-9PM
Monday, February 3 (virtual) 7-9PM
Monday, February 24 (virtual) 7-9PM
Monday, March 3 (in person) 7-9PM
In addition, this year we'll be offering several 1 hour co-working sessions led by one of our team members. These are not mandatory, but are an opportunity for participants to receive more guidance, ask additional questions, and work through tasks to get your business launched! They will be held on:
Monday, January 13 (virtual) 7-8PM
Monday, January 27 (virtual) 7-8PM
Monday, February 10 (virtual) 7-8PM
What technology will I need to participate?
You will need access to the internet in order to participate in this program. The three virtual lessons and the additional work sessions will all be held on Zoom.
Do I need to have started my business to apply?
No, participants do not need to have started their Arts & Culture business in order to apply, however, a fully formed idea that has been validated will be required. If you already have a business running, we are looking for applicants who would like to grow that business or expand by adding an entirely new revenue stream.
How man spots are available?
There are 18 spots available.
What businesses can apply?
For this round of the grant program we are looking for businesses in the arts and culture industry. For example, artists, actors, writers, designers, carpenters, food creators, tourism experiences and so many more businesses can apply!
Where are the educational sessions held?
The in-person sessions will be held at 82 Erie St., Stratford in the City Hall Annex building.
Does this cost any money to participate?
No, this is a free program.
