ReSet — A One-Day Photography Retreat

This retreat is open to all skill levels — from total beginner to seasoned pro.
If you’ve ever felt burnt out, bored, or unsure what’s next, this is for you.
Just a quiet, creative reset for photographers who feel stuck, rusty, or disconnected from their work.
Whether it’s been two weeks or two years since you last felt inspired behind a camera — this is the retreat is for you.
ReSet is a small-group photography workshop designed to rebuild confidence, spark creativity, and help you reconnect with why you picked up a camera in the first place. You don’t need a portfolio, a plan, or the perfect camera.
Just curiosity, a warm jacket, and a bit of enthusiasm.

Although, you won’t be doing much post-processing on the day, and any quick edits we need can be handled together. The focus is on shooting, thinking and seeing — not sitting in front of a screen.
Outline for the day
**All subject to change, adaptation for skill level and weather on the day
10:00 - 12:30 | Morning - ReSet and ReFocus We start with coffee, introductions and a calm sense of purpose. The morning is built around light conversation and short, creative exercises designed to shift perspective and rekindle curiosity. You’ll also have the chance to explore the immediate area around The Yard (and Helensburgh) at your own pace — camera in hand, no pressure. |
12.30 - 13.30 | Lunch (informal) Time to eat, recharge, and chat. Local sandwich spots nearby, or bring your own. |
13.30 - 16.30 / 17:00 | Afternoon - Explore and Evolve After lunch, we ease into a more reflective rhythm. |
17:00 + Golden Hour ? The day wraps here — but if the light’s good and anyone wants to hang around for golden hour or a bit of extra fun, Stuart will be around and happy to stay on.
